You know you always see these kind of stuff on the news or ESPN and it touches you in such way that it is hard to explain, however; to witness something like this in person is so heart warming. I got to witness this event saturday and need I say it brought tears to my eyes every last minute of this event. The ovation and gratitude the players of both sides to make this happen was so AWESOME. The applaudes that he got for doing what he did lasted I would say two minutes till he left the field and all I can say is WOW!!!!

i had the honor of coaching ty in little league baseball for 3 or 4 years. the young man will suprise you all the time. we have the bases loaded with one out and ty is at bat. they have to throw to him because if they walk him we score the winning run and the game is over. ty hits a ground ball between the mound and 1st base, the pitcher fields the ball and throws to first to get the out. but we score the runner from 3rd. ty won the game by putting the ball in play (if i remember right it was his first hit as a 10yr old) he went crazy along with the rest of the team. they had just won the "world series". debbie his mom told that he that is all he talked about for months. ill bet this will top that one by at least a couple of years. great job ty.

I agree with boxermom, I keep coming back again and again to see those pictures. Please keep this up on the top of the message list for a while. What a heartwarming thing to come back to when you want a smile from head to toe.

Ty is an amazing young man!! I have watched him since he played soccer as a four or five year old with my grandson.....but what is more amazing are his parents, the coaches and the fans who help him make his dreams come true. Where else but Arteisa would give the Tys of the world such a wonderful chance and life!!

This thread should go in the Hall Of Fame. I don't think anybody would disagree on that idea.

I agree BDC. We'll give it a couple more days and then move it over.

Well DexterDemon10...this is Mrs. Salad. I grew up in Hagerman myself as did Ty's mom. And I am having a hard time reading all of the posts about how well Dexter is doing. You can understand how I feel-the feelings go both ways. My only consolation is that all of my nieces and nephews and cousins have graduated so...until the next generation comes watch out.

By the way, my husband and I both have many relatives in Dexter, but thats not their fault they live there. HA HA

Good Luck with the rest of the season.......

GO TY!! and Thanks Hagerman for making dreams special.
