Rapid has more right to speak here than most as he is a member of the FRATERNITY of BROTHERS WHO HAVE WON STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS. He has made plays when the Title Game was on the line, He worked his butt off and is considered one of the fastest defensive ends to ever play for the Bulldogs. If he saw arm tackling it was there and he knows it takes shoulder pads in the opposing player to make great Defenses. Rapid you keep saying what you see and how you feel, this OLD COACH wants to know your opinion.

Rapid didn't call out a specific coach or kid unlike dognation, who got hammered for calling out a specific coach. Rapid missed one point. He said we couldn't beat LL if we played like that. The fact is we won't get a chance to play them if we continue to play like that. We will get beat in the qtrs. And it's not all on the defense. The offense has to quit turning the ball over, put up points and not putting more pressure on the D. It's tough to rest and get coached up on the sidelines if you are constantly running back onto the field.
I have a feeling a couple weeks of rest and preparation will re-energize everyone for the playoff push. Coaches will coach and motivate, defense will defend, offense will put points up and we'll all be "sittin' in butter" at the end.

I am looking forward to watching number 17 out there again. He's competitive and plays smart. Just get well there young fella. It seems I've always been partial to left handed players. When coaching junior and senior league I made sure I drafted a left hander as long as he could throw the ball, the coaching came afterwards. Tim Tebow was my favorite QB in college football. Go dogs beat the kitties or the demons....

Listen I am tired of people getting butt hurt when someone says something about football that offends someone else. We have all either played or watched many Bulldog football teams and when somebody makes a comment about the game that is what they see or is their opinion quit bowing up like they did something terribly wrong. This is a forum about football and some people see it different than others.

Ahhh that pipsqueak was a guest. Doesn't even have enough bolts to login. As I have said in the past, these boys will get beat with all the arm tackles.

Well, I guess I almost jinxed Artesia by predicting a blowout. It's probably my fault that it was close
Disappointed there was no game story in the Journal today. But, before anyone overreacts to that, it's the responsibility of the home team's coach to call in stats and a brief recap. Obviously, the Del Norte coach didn't bother. While I get annoyed with the pro-Albuquerque slant a lot of the time, I also have no doubt it wasn't a conspiracy on the media's part to keep the game recap out of print.

I ditto Charliedog's defense of Rapid! It strikes me as cowinkeedink that Rapid's state championship winning play came in Albuquerque, although not at this stadium and not against this team, in 1975. I was a small child. Have heard about that play more than a few times. Speaking of that 2-3 minute segment of Buldog history, where has toothless been?

There seemed to be more fans from Artesia than from ABQ. I really think Artesia will be playing in LL and hopefully there will be many bulldog fan in LL on that day. Thrice as many as there were watching ABQ. Mr. Pitch how did the Cowboys do this year? Hope they did well...

Don't ask. We had 4 good players move away in the summer and immediately started racking up injuries. I guess the good thing is lots of young'uns got time. I hope they don't move away too. Our enrollment is approaching 6 man digits unfortunately.
