Ok, so right after the NFL draft I remember looking for some info on Landry and his Wonderlic score...and I found NOTHING. Searched the web until I was blue in the face and found zero...zilch...nada! I figured that maybe they just weren't releasing that info anymore. So today on a whim I decided to look for it again...and WALLA! Here it is! For informational purposes only. I sure would like to see Landry do something in the next year or 3. Hard to see him on the bench after watching him play for the last 8 years or so. I would like to see him take over the starting role in Pittsburgh, because their #2 guy I don't think is much better than Landry, and besides he's getting up their in years and has been with HOW MANY different NFL teams? Either that or trade LJ to a team that desperately needs a QB and is willing to give him a shot. Hope things work out for Landry, didn't hear hardly anything about him after the pre-season last year. But I guess no news is good news, lol. outkickthecoverage.com/wonderlic-scores-leak-for-quarterbacks.php1. Ryan Nassib, Syracuse 41 2. Matt Barkley, USC 30 3. E. J. Manuel, Florida State 28 3. Landry Jones, Oklahoma 28 5. Mike Glennon, N.C. State 26 6. Tyler Bray, Tennessee 24 6. Geno Smith, West Virginia 24 6. Zac Dysert, Miami (Ohio) 24 9. Matt Scott, Arizona 22 10. Tyler Wilson, Arkansas 20

Wonderlic test scores are used to measure intelligence and decision making ability. Here is a list of the Wonderlic scores of every starting QB in the NFL, just for comparison purposes. Remember, Landry scored a 28..........the same as Drew Brees and Peyton Manning so LJ's in pretty good company. And he scored higher than Roethlisberger which is no surprise, to me anyway. What really surprised me was when I compared Peyton's score with Eli's score. Just thought this was interesting. basketfootball.com/wonderlic-scores-for-every-nfl-teams-starting-qb Blaine Gabbert – 42 Alex Smith – 40 Eli Manning – 39 Matt Flynn – 38 Colin Kaepernick – 38 Matt Stafford – 38 Andrew Luck – 37 Tony Romo – 37 Sam Bradford – 36 Christian Ponder – 35 Aaron Rodgers – 35 Ryan Tannehill – 34 Tom Brady – 33 Matt Ryan – 32 Matt Schaub – 31 Phillip Rivers – 30 Andy Dalton – 29 Nick Foles – 29, Mike Vick – 20 Drew Brees – 28 Kevin Kolb/ EJ Manuel – 28 Peyton Manning – 28 Mark Sanchez – 28 Russell Wilson – 28 Joe Flacco – 27 Josh Freeman – 27 Brandon Weeden – 27 Jay Cutler – 26 Carson Palmer – 26 Ben Roethlisberger – 25 RGIII – 24 Cam Newton – 21 Jake Locker – 20

I have no idea what could be in store for Landry, maybe he gets pushed a little more this off season, hopefully he learned a lot this season regardless if he stepped on the field.
The main thing I hope for him is he stays on a NFL Roster and collects that paycheck.

I keep trying to think of QBs that were drafted 4th round or lower (LJ was 4th round) who rode the bench for a few years and still ended up having successful NFL careers. I am sure there are quite a few, but the only one that comes to mind is Steve Young and we all know what kind of career he had. I did a little bit of research and from what I can tell Young wasn't drafted at all and went straight to the USFL. Not sure why he wasn't selected in the NFL draft, maybe he didn't declare for the draft or maybe he missed the deadline or something. He was selected #1 in the SUPPLEMENTAL draft by Tampa Bay, but I'm not really sure what that means. And he did ride the bench behind Montana for a few years. I wonder where Young would have been selected in the NFL draft if he DID declare, or if he DIDN'T miss the deadline.......if that is indeed what happened. Still holding out hope for LJ.

Was Tom Brady not a 6th rounder? Kind of ancient but Bart Starr was a 16th rounder.

But Wiki says that Starr was actually a 17th rounder.

Nick Foles was a 3rd Rounder, bottom of the 3rd round so close enough, basically got some starts because of injury to Vick, had a huge season this year.

Tony Romo went undrafted probably for good reason ha ha, if you want to consider him.
