No excuses, we have injuries too! You go to the game with the players you have available. Good luck and let's hope for no more injuries for either team! Go Bulldogs. I don't think Delta9 was making excuses. At least I didn't read it that way. Yeah, well you know...., that's just like, your opinion, man!! LOL JK Maybe, maybe not, doesn't matter! We have severe injuries, have since the 1st game, Starting RB - hasn't played a game, Starting Slot - played like 1 1/2 games, Starting QB - one of the best in NM - out at least this week, You still have to go play!

I think this is going to be a tough game even if Houghtaling was out there and other team injuries we've got, last week at Carlsbad was sloppy, 2nd half was better but our Defense has been pretty good, if they are as good as I think they might be then they can keep us in any game but Las Cruces will be our biggest test so far.

How far is to Las Cruces from Artesia, I wanna get through all the construction that is going on in Cruces. Rapid, The construction zone is only about 1-mile long and they are about completed. Paving is going on right now but the traffic flow moves pretty well, should take you just a few minutes to get through. It starts on N. Main (street light) and goes almost to Picacho where you turn right, then your about there. Have a safe trip! There are a couple of ways to get there. From Main you can take Three Crosses to Alameda. Turn left on Alameda at the Eagle Quik Mart. Then turn right on Hoagland. Take Hoagland to Valley. Turn left on Valley til you get to Tashiro. Or you can go thru the construction on Main to Caimbridge. Turn right on Caimbridge It will turn into McClure which will come out on Valley a couple blocks North of Tashiro. Personally I would turn South on Solano and go about a mile and get a couple of Saenz gorditas before the game If you go all the way to Picacho I would stop at the Ranchway on Valley.

defense holds on 4th and 2. Nice job, I remember a few years ago Cruces would run all over us.

Sloppy drive to end the half by Artesia. Bummer. Had a chance to get score closer.

Listening on stream and I agree to a point with Joby with his message, the bulldogs have about 4 starters out, no excuse, it's just what it is. IMO those four starters out could make a huge difference in this game. I am wondering who's out besides Justin. Hopefully, Justin along with those other starters who aren't playing will return against Alamogordo. However, overall I think the 'dogs are playing ok, although a bit sloppy again. Hopefully the second half will be much different in favor of the good guys, THE ARTESIA BULLDOGS.

Hard to watch this game when QB is only player in backfield and carries the ball most of the time and defense can't stop him. Just wow!

We go down to Las Cruces 41-25, snaps a 16 game win streak dating back to last year. Don't like to lose but you can learn a lot from a loss, Null got some valuable experience, carry over to next year, may get one more start vs Alamo next week.
All in all I think we will be ok, still got some work to do though.

Attention Bulldog fans......
The future looks bright. Taylor Null will keep us where we wanna be. He is a sophomore, two more years of promise! When I heard just before the game started that Justin was hurt, my first thought was OMG we're gonna get our a$$ whooped bad. After the first few series, I could see Null is a "gamer". This young man deserves a game ball just for "stepping up" the way he played in the face of adversity. Though some may see it differently, but for a couple of big plays from LCHS, this one could have gone either way.

Yep, he did and that is why I believe that LC probably won't make if very far into the 6A playoffs. There's to many "weapons" with Rio Rancho and Cleveland and El Dorado, unfortunately ABQ teams. But that's the trend today. Artesia however has to get ready for what I believe is the best 6A team is and that is the Alamogordo Tigers. Maybe this young Artesia QB who is probably 16 years old can get more reps this week and be better prepared to lead the offense to victory. I still wonder what the Artesia announcers meant when they said there were about four Artesia starters not playing last night. It does make a difference when first team players in theory and in practice are more talented but not playing or in the game. The defense is going to have to step it up a notch or two when Alamogordo comes to town. They have a talented team and a smart coach. Well good luck and I will be watching on line. I which I could be at the Bowl. Anyway, go Bulldogs, don't fear the Tigers, you can and will beat them.

Starting Slot - very good went down somewhere in the 2nd game I think. OL - 1 starter seems to not be playing - looked like a back injury - big kid and has experience. 1 DB has been hurt, but I did see him in the game last night at least kicking, QB one of the best in NM out last night. I don't know any of the time tables for sure on these injuries, heard the RB will try to be back by district, QB should be back soon but I don't know if they know for sure - torn muscle I think, Have not evern heard rumors about the others. Bulldogs playing well with a next man up approach. Good game last night, Yes defense gave up more than they have but I think they were on the field more also. Big school, does not really matter in the whole scheme of things. We are definitely one of the top 5A teams and probably top 5 statewide all classes when healthy.

I thought Taylor stepped up and played very well. No Turnovers was a big thing and he had 300 + yards passing. Our running game needs a little work. Miller killed us running the ball. They beat us we will move on. But I think our biggest challenge will be at Bulldog Bowl next Friday night. Go Dogs! Beat Alamo.

Dont know much about Alamo except they are real good. I know a liitle bit about Cleveland. They should go undefeated in the regular season, would like to see a game vs Alamo in the playoffs. Its going to take a great effort to beat the Storm. RR will probably lose 2 more regular season games and win 1 playoff game, if they do more I will be surprised. Too many penalties and defense gives up too many big plays. Go Dogs beat Alamo, is it the Tigers? Forgot.

I started to say something when I read that a couple of days ago, but decided not to for whatever reason. Probably because I use to do the same thing a LONG time ago, we've all been guilty of it a time or two. But RR and Cleveland are no more Albq schools than Belen or Los Lunas.........or even Roswell for that matter.
