listening to the game on the radio and announcers are calling first downs for the artesia bulldogs, completions, and penalties against las cruces before they actually happen. Only to find out later that it was not a first down, not a comletion, and not a penalty. Why don't they just let it plays out on the field before they make the call! Very frustrating trying to figure out what is going on by listening to the radio. Seriously thinking about turning off the game and just reading about it in the paper sunday morning.

dognation, Joby new at this, as you probably know, he's learning, give him time. He's been real open on here if you have any comments or suggestions on how he can call the game better. I'll refer to his post in this thread, give it a read. Send him a message or mostly likely he will read this, he will no doubt listen to your feedback though I have no doubt. artesiabulldogs.proboards.com/thread/5630/week-2-artesia-hobbs?page=2

I think Joby has improved quite a bit in his announcement. He'll be okay.

Besides going "oohh!" and clearing his throat all the time, Joby does a great job : ). Bulldog fans were spoiled for many, many years with the best sports announcer anywhere!!!! Funny how even after 3 years some can't get over the great Jim Wilburn(sp) calling the Bulldog games. Just remember what we had the last couple years (I love ya Gene! your a good egg). Dow and Winters were beyond terrible.

1) you all are fortunate to have games broadcast weekly. 99.9% of the high school teams in the country don't have this access. 2) I don't know Joby but I would guess he has a day job. I think he's getting better an has a good blend of enthusiasm and info.
