Holy moley!!! Absolutely nothing being said. Has this game lost its shine or is everybody scared to say anything cause they are not sure what will happen. Usually some good banter going on.

It's a great day when you take Goddard out to the wood shed and beat the snot out of them.

Wow I never thought I would see the day when Roswell is better than Goddard in football but I guess it happens and goes in cycles. Anyways great win for the Dogs now to finish off strong next week and get ready for a 3 game run

I remember back in the late 60s and all through the 70s Goddard was a door-mat. Everybody beat Goddard! They were like Taos, NOBODY was afraid of Goddard. I even remember the helmets they wore back in those days......blue like today, but with a white Green Bay style "G" on the side.

Just a little info that I thought might be interesting to some.......last night's 40 pt margin of victory was the biggest since 1966 when the Dogs whipped Goddard 54-7. It's been 49 years since we stomped a mud-hole in Goddard like we did last night.
I used both MaxPreps and the old Bulldog Football scores on Randall's other site to look at every single game (playoff games included) from last night, all the way back to 1966. By the way, the first year Goddard was open was in 1965. I had to use BOTH sources because MaxPreps only goes back to 2004, and the scores on Randall's other site only go up to 2010......so I had to use both sites to fill in the gaps. So I guess you could say last night was pretty much the worst beat-down of Goddard by a Bulldog team since Goddard has had a football team. That 1966 Goddard team might not have even had any seniors.

We were ahead of RHS 34 - 10 at half. I just think we let up in the second half and then RHS caught fire and we had to hold on I think AHS learned something in that game. As for RHS being better than GHS, you can't go by scores, see Carlsbad beating Alamo, we will know who is better next Friday!

The bulldogs will take care of business next week, just play their game and don't get overconfident. I saw Lovington play against St. Pius in Lovington when Artesia had a open date. St. Pius beat Lovington 28-20, Lovington almost came back to win the game late in game.Artesia will eat up Lovington in their passing game

I don't think we let up any in the 2nd half vs Roswell High, our team is more disciplined than that. What happened was that Roswell High made halftime adjustments! And of course, we didn't........would have been stupid for us to make adjustments of ANY kind when we are up 34-10 at the half. When you are up by a large margin at the half you come out in the 2nd half and just keep on doing what you've been doing. Now, IN-GAME adjustments is a different story, and that is where we fell short in the 2nd half vs Roswell High.....JMHO. Next week at the Wool Bowl will be very interesting indeed! Have you ever been to a Goddard vs Roswell High game? I have, WAAAAY back in the mid-70s. Cross-town rivalries are always among the most intense, ESPECIALLY if they are the only 2 schools in town. That Goddard vs Roswell High game that I saw at the Wool Bowl back in the 70s was insane! By the way, the reason we went was because we (my parents and I) had a VERY close family friend that was an offensive lineman for Roswell High back then. There were late hits, cheap shots, and fights after almost every play! Also, NUMEROUS players from both teams ejected......and not just as the result of one play........it was like that from the opening kick-off until the final gun. There were very few players from either Goddard or Roswell that didn't have blood on their uniform. Back in those days, Roswell High and Goddard really didn't like each other. Not sure if there is still the same intensity between them today, but back then it was something else! Kind of got sidetracked telling old stories, but yes, next week at the Wool Bowl should be very interesting!

I think our coaches usually make really good halftime adjustments. My point was nothing negative towards Artesia on my post but to say I don't know that Roswell will beat Goddard based on the scores in our ball games

And I didn't take it like that....AT ALL!!! I was just giving my opinion of what I thought might have happened in the 2nd half against Roswell. And sometimes when I get started typing it's hard to stop, and everything I am thinking just flows from my brain and down to my keyboard. Since I can type almost as fast as I can talk, I often find my thought in my posts before I even realize it. Jades, I meant NOTHING negative towards you or what you posted either.

I say Roswell High Beats Goddard.
Roswell High is getting better I believe, Goddard is young this year, going to be a tough district in the years to come I think. Lovington has a ways to go, not sure what the problem is there, they have 1 Win.
So are we already District Champs technically?
Also be nice to get either roswell or goddard again for the playoffs or both, pour it on ha ha.
