Las Cruces High coach Jim Miller just announced his retirement after 18 years at the helm as the head coach of the LC Bulldawgs. Has it really been that long? Heck, it seems just yesterday that he was playing QB for the Roswell High Coyotes! That was back when Jim Bradley was the HC at Roswell. You have to wonder who is going to be next.....Roanhaus maybe? Here's a link........... nmpreps.n.rivals.com/news/las-cruces-football-coach-jim-miller-retires

Miller is taking time off to be able to follow his son's college football career and guide him. He will be back coaching in a few years. He's too competitive to stay out of coaching.

He could still be teaching and do all the things he wants to do or he may have enough years in to retire outright, if so he gets like 80% of his salary and without retirement contributions and Fica he would damn near be whole. That's one of the good things about teaching, early retirement and still young enough to do something else or go back to teaching after you sit out.

Would have to teach for 34 years to get the 80% and he isn't even close to that, more like 26 or 27 years. That would only be 61-63% Think he is giving up just the coaching to watch his boy play at UNM.

Since when is 27 years not close to 34? 63 plus 7.5 for Fica and what 7 or 8 to retirement = 77.5% still pretty close for not doing anything. My point was if he was retiring it wasn't like he was going from a salary to nothing! But I forgot you know EVERYTHING!!!!

I had a perfectly good conversation going width Crispysdad and then you come along and try to correct it when you knew damn well what I meant. You could have just commented your last sentence if you know that and been done with it. YOU are the ASS
