Seemed like it was Roswell's game plan to intentionally keep hitting our players low on these catches. Hopefully someone addresses this with NMAA or one of these kids will hurt.
By the actions of their head coach and his inability to control his temper I wouldn't put it past them with these intentional low hits.

I thought about this when I watched the game. Their coached I understand apologized. He did get terribly angry. Hopefully his AD will have a come to Jesus talk with him. Meanwhile go dogs knockout the rockets. Go Alamogordo slap the coyotes silly

My computer glitched out right after Artesia made that two-point conversion. The 'Dogs then kicked off and Roswell got the ball with over a minute to go. So, what happened during that last minute-plus? What did I miss?
Oversimplified version........Roswell took the kick-off and eventually moved the ball across the 50 after a few plays. Trying to get into field goal range for a game winning field goal with just seconds on the clock. Artesia stopped them on downs somewhere around the 20....I THINK. Artesia takes possession....QB takes a knee....game over. I think Roswell had the ball on the 22 yd line with a 3rd down at one point. Not sure why they didn't attempt a field goal then. And lost somewhere in that last minute is the fact that Roswell's HC Jeff Lynn got ejected from the game, not sure why, I was at the game and totally missed it when it happened. Didn't find out about it until I got on here and saw people talking about it. Oh.....and Artesia got a sideline warning for our band playing while Roswell was on offense during that final drive. I didn't even know that was a rule. I just checked and the game is still available for viewing at the link that Randall posted.....you can fast-forward right to the end of the game.

Officials probably from Carlsbad or Hobbs. Albuquerque officials would only come in the playoffs. Plus they are short and having to reschedule games up there to have enough officials to go around. The refs are from Clovis. the guy with the white cap I know him I went to school with him.He was a senior and I were a sophomore. A good friend of mind.

It was a big game for both teams. Emotions were running high. Bottom line is Artesia won a hard fought battle. Coach Lynn seems like a very fine man, I know he was caught up in the moment and probably said some things he should not have. He will pay the price and learn from the experience. Roswell High is a better team and plays harder since his arrival. With all the concussion protocols you have to go low to tackle. I did not think they played dirty but they did hit hard and tackled well. They will probably be in the State Championship game and hopefully Artesia will be there with them. Go Dogs! Beat Goddard! Win District and take State.....

I have been watching Trent again. IMO this young man is extremely accurate in his passing and has a bullit passing arm.
