I have not been on the board for a long time but know there are a lot of out of town alum on here and I wanted to recognize some seriously talented young people that are representing Artesia High School in a big way. The AHS Bulldog bowlers won the Class 4A (was 5A) State Championship for the third straight year. Two years ago these bulldogs won state by 11 pins and this year they won by 1011 pins. This is the hardest working team I have had bowl in the 12 years of Bulldog Bowling and is proven by the fact that Will Davis led the state in average at 208, Ethan Velo fourth at 197, Coy Moorhead sixth at 192 and Justin Weddige eighth at 190. Four of the top eight, not in 4A but the entire state. All four return next season with Will, Ethan and Coy attempting to win their fourth state title. Just wanted you guys to know there is another reason to be Proud to be a Bulldog!
