The difference is the defense. Defense wins games and Artesia doesn't have the defense this year, unfortunately.

The difference is the defense. Defense wins games and Artesia doesn't have the defense this year, unfortunately. Offense had a pick too bdogfan, Carlsbad got 7 off that. Need to do better on both sides in the 2nd half if we want to get back in this game.

Been wanting to say this for a while please take no offense. THAT MY FRIENDS IS ANOTHER BULLDOG TURNOVER. Turnovers were the key Cooper had a great gameplan to start the game and it worked and then we seemed to make some adjustments after that but good game Bulldogs.

I wish the outcome was different, but no sore loser here, 6 years is a long time to wait. I'm curious to see how far Carlsbad can go in 5A, I think they could make the finals for sure. Goddard and Carlsbad should be a good one in a couple weeks. Good luck the rest of the way.

I was thoroughly dissappointed in our play on both sides of the ball tonight. It just happens. Sometimes nothing works. Give it to Carlsbad. They played well. I think they would have beat us much worse if they hadn't tried to throw the ball so much. Their QB only completed 9 passes all night and 3 of them were TD's. He wasn't very accurate throwing the ball, but he could tuck it and run like the wind. He was definitely the difference maker in the game. When they stop you 2 times inside the one on third and fourth down and then run the very next play the distance, it's hard to overcome that. Things don't look any easier for the next month in Bulldog land. Las Cruces, Clovis and Goddard are going to really test our resolve. Dig in dogs and get it done.

In 5A Randall, unfortunately it will be Cleveland Storm who will take the blue trophy this year. They are the best 5A team in the state.

Never rule out the bulldogs nor coach Henderson. They bounce back, remember last football season? The 'dogs still ruled at the end of the 2010. I believe they will bounce back and return to their winning ways. Go 'dogs beat Las Cruces.

I don't doubt our ability to compete with 4A teams. There are a few years though when we just don't have the ability to hang with the 5A teams. This is one of those years when we are going to have a hard time. They will bounce back and be fine during crunch time. I always look at this part of the schedule as preseason games. They are good to learn from and get better. Gives the younger guys experience for later in the season. Losing to Carlsbad always leaves a bad taste in your mouth. I'm glad it doesn't happen very often. LOL
