You guys who played for the bulldogs this season, you did good. I don't think very many people thought you'd get this far, you did good. You're still champs, good luck in the future. Remember once a bulldog always a bulldog.

Disappointed we lost of course, we certainly had chances to make the outcome of the game different, the 2 offensive turnovers in the first half really hurt and lead to 1 easy rocket score. Defense got gashed by 2 big plays that went for td's but I thought they played well as anybody could against Anaya and Greene. Give Goddard credit though they made the big play when it counted.
A season full of ups and downs it seems, but I give this team credit they never packed it in, they keep fighting when some had written them off, if it was any other 4A team tonight I say we are moving on, but it's not to be, so the 2011 season is in the books.
It's up to you now Goddard, Good luck.

This year's trophy is turquoise anyways. Goddard will keep it in the south where it belongs. We like the Blue ones. Aren't there 27 of those around here somewhere?
In 8 and half months, the men will strap on the gear and go back to work. You can't keep a good Dog down.
As Charliedog says, tradition never graduates! It's great to be a Bulldog!

If his knee was hurt why was he back in there? It didn't look hurt! Man he's fast.

I captured that hit on anaya, he got up-ended hard and immediately grabbed his knee, it didn't look good, I thought he might be done for the game. Was surprised to see him back in not long after, like jay said the burst he showed on those td runs was impressive, you would think he wasn't hurt too bad.

Ok how many returners next year? What kind of size and speed in JV and Sophs? Do they start lifting Monday? Time to prepare for next year. Championships are won in the off season not on Friday Nights.

I was looking at that in paper, returners, we should have some good ones back. Will lose Whitmire and a few other good defensive ones but looks good for 2012! I'll post some later!

Coach, IMO the Bulldogs will be better on offense next year. The QB will probably be Eulenbach, who will be a junior but got some exp this year. If Pittam, another sophomore who started at the first of the year and had a knee injury is healthy he will provide the burst of speed we missed this year. The RB dept is well stocked. There are 3 that are all good. I hope they find a place for at least one of those to play somewhere else. I think the sophomore team only lost one game to Loving's varsity. They will hit you. We will definitely miss Whitmire, who wouldn't? I think the future is bright. Goddard finally loses Greene and Anaya but the French kid is just a sophomore, He plays everywhere so I don't know where he will be but I think QB. I think we will have a great shot the next two years to add to the pressbox.

It was a good season. It will be a better one next year. I would like to see Zeke at quarterback and Gavino at running back. Now that would be good......

You obviously didn't watch any JV ball this year. Zeke has done a fantastic job at running back this year also. Why mess with that? #17, Eulenbach, is more than ready to be the next great QB for Artesia!

Imo Trevor already showed a lot of potential at QB when given the chance, he will only get better plus he has 2 more years left, how nice will it be to have someone at that spot that can be our QB for 2 years straight, we haven't had that since Landry Jones.
Zeke is a good athlete he could play a lot of positions well imo, Gavino looks good at RB too. The more these guys are on the field together the better.
I think the next 2 years will be strong ones, how many days until kickoff? lol

Why does anyone mention Donovan Orosco at running back? Very disappointing year to not see a 5'10" 185 pounder with real good speed stand around. He's been the every down running back since 8th grade on sophomore, JV and now isn't being utilized. Crazy. Coulda killed Goddard using a 3 headed monster. Dono would kickoff. Punt and then be in every play. When scored would kick PAT then kickoff and start all over again. Should have been given a chance. Before sophomore

So was Donovan Orosco a sophomore? What about the unsung heroes? The guys in the trenches, the blue collar guys, the ones who lead the RB's into the end zone? Where will the 'dogs be in those positions?

Before sophomore Actually, Orosco was the one I was talking about hoping they find a place for him, maybe DE or LB? I agree in that anytime I watched him play JV running back he was good but there is not enough carries in this offense for three running backs. Saiz is the type of RB we have had around here the last few seasons before Montoya. Montoya did great this year and Saiz supported his efforts well. I know this staff will find a place for all three, they are all excellent players. I think we return 1 OL starter, 1 or 2 DL starter and 2 DB and another that got a lot of time early in the season.

I'm sure Trevor would be up for some healthy competition at QB. At this point, it's his to lose. You must not have seen him and Gavino run the speed option in the sophomore games. Zeke's a better runner than a thrower. Gavino will be a great rb. He's much better suited there than slot. He's much faster than Zeke and Dono. I don't know how Dono is going to get on the field at RB. Pittam and Leonard will be good next year and will probably be the starting slots. Coach will have lots of options next year. It will be interesting to see where he puts everyone. There's a ton of talent coming up on both sides of the ball. Good problem to have.

I am from up north, but have always kept up with the Bulldogs! I was wondering, it sounds like there are lots of returns and playmakers in the skill positions. But what about the OL and DL? Are the dogs losing many seniors or key players? What are the next couple years looking like?

Are the dogs losing many seniors or key players? What are the next couple years looking like? OL - Alex Donaghue will be back. Other than that no other starters. Marcus Oliver will be good. He suited out for Varsity but was set back by a broken ankle this year. Jonathon Lopez will also be in the mix. DL - Richard Orquiz and David Salinas will be returning. Gage Simer can be really good if he wants to be. LB's are in good shape with Braulio Morales, Jared Davis, Jaron Halsell, Abram Mendoza and Jalen Fuentes. Secondary looks strong with Gonzales and Rayos back and then add Denzyl Garcia in the mix.
