Looks like Rio Rancho is going to upset Las Cruces 42-21 in the 4th I believe from mikemoe. That's a shocker to me.
Goddard over Belen 27-7, mostly a close game throughout though, Goddard pulls away at the end.

Rams cut down on their mistakes from last week and their defense played better. QB Easton Bruere is one to keep an eye on. Only a soph, 6'3 215 still makes bad decisions at time and his ball is a little flat but has a chance to be one of the best passing QBs to come out of the state since Landry. I'm not putting his close to Landry and is not the overall athlete as Cole Gautsche just somebody to watch. Next week Clovis, never beat them on thier field.

I was shocked at how close the Goddard vs Belen game was. Haven't seen anybody address this! The score was 14-7 at halftime! I didn't think Belen was that good.
Belen-14 Deming-7
Belen-34 Moriarty-33
See what I mean? Can't figure out what happened last night with Goddard and Belen. There must have been something! HOWEVER.....I was listening to the post-game show last night on KSVP and they DID say that both Goddard and Belen got their QBs knocked out of the game. Maybe that had something to do with how tight this game was. Maybe some Rocket fans can let us know what happened. Especially after Goddard beat RR last week, and THEN RR knocked off #1 Las Cruces. Something just doesn't add up.

last time goddard and belen played was the 09 state title game I believe. Belen has a facebook page, looks like they were ready and looking forward for this game. Goddard did knockout the Belen QB, didn't hear Goddard lost their qb but if so maybe that slowed their offense down, Goddard D had a pick 6 in the game as well. My friend said it was an ugly win, but that usually seems to be the goddard way in the past. They just came off a big win too, I think they will keep on rolling.

The Belen QB took a shot after throwing that pick six got up and started walking disoriented walking towards the south endzone. He was taken out, but returned later in the game then took another shot. He did not return to the game after that. Belen's HC mentioned in the CCSR, the qb had a bad concussion last season www.chavescountysports.org/?p=58421It's no secret French did go out with an injury if you read the Roswell and CCSR articles. It was a physical game, but the Rockets did what they do best played good defense. The intensity did not seem to be there as it was at Rio Rancho. Some have mentioned Rio Rancho turnovers that cost them the game vs Goddard. If anyone who watched that game knows Goddard also had a couple of turnovers (int and fumble), a touchdown called back last in 4th, and second half drives that stalled deep inside Rio Rancho's territory. The difference in that game was Goddard was able to overcome those turnovers and Rio Rancho did not. Even an 0.09 cent a day hs football expert can figure that out! or maybe not! ... king of hs football ... more like a king sized joke!

Rock - If you were referring to me you got the wrong idea, Goddard deserved to win the game and is a great program, I never said RR was the better team. I just said they shot themselves in the foot in the first half, if you thought I was taking anything away from Goddard you were mistaken.

What is going on with Lovington this year? They haven't been the same as last seaon or the season before. They used to beat Santa Fe teams with ease and they beat Nuevo Leon last season. Mama Beast if you're reading this can you answer the question? I like the WC...

Lovington has a website and message board, just like ours (copy cats) lol www.lovingtonwildcatsfootball.com/Just a down year perhaps, I mean they won 3A, 3 years in a row. They may come around but I don't think they got enough talent to win 3A this year.

Sooners are making me nervous, I had butterflies about this game for some reason. Hope they rebound the 2nd half.

Yeah Randall, that was pretty sad. I'm just wondering if OU is having "inside" problems, they have looked bad all year!
