............OK everybody, time to post up!!! As for me, I will only be posting songs that I just can NOT get enough of. You can rest assured that anything I post I have already listened to countless times......and in some cases HUNDREDS of times. Post whatever you like! Just because I absolutely detest Country Music and Rap doesn't mean that somebody else won't enjoy it. This should be really interesting, because a person's taste in music can be a great indicator as to what kind of personality they have. I just turned 58 years old in May of this year......the only reason I mentioned that fact is because it might give you an idea of "where I am coming from" when you see some of my favorite music. Age just gives perspective, I guess that's what I was trying to say. Anyway, here are some of MY favorites......hope y'all will join in!
I am almost embarrassed to admit that KISS was one of my favorite bands in the late 1970s. I had the privilege of seeing them in concert not once.....but twice.....when I was attending college in Abilene TX way back in the stone ages. I have since discovered that their music was not that great (massive understatement) and that there are WAY better bands out there. But KISS did put out a few awesome songs.....this one for example......can't remember right off the top of my head what the other one was, lol. Anyway, here is a great one by KISS. I have probably listened to this one at least 10 times over the last few days.....

And the 90's
Prefer country and now Christian. But there were some great workout songs. Pumping iron in the old field house weight room. Awesome stuff.

Mr Pitch ....... that "Photograph" video by Def Leppard was one that I was most definitely thinking about posting, lol. Def Leppard is my very favorite band from the 1980s, and they are my wife's favorite band of all time! Between the 2 of us (the wife and I) I think we have every single album that Def Leppard ever put out. So, since you already posted "Photograph".......I will post this one instead. I love me some Def Leppard!

If I knew how I would post a video of the Doors, favorite album Morrison Hotel. I'm an old timer but you younger guys need to check them out, they are great at rock and can also sing ballads (The Crystal Ship). They feature a lot of organ and keyboards. Also U2, favorite album Actung Baby. Two underated British Invasion groups - The Animals and the Dave Clark Five.

I have one of their albums on CD..."The Best of The Doors". Granted, it is a compilation album that was released in 1985, WAY after Morrison's death. Oh, and here is the one you were talking about......

MAN! I just LOVE this song from 1987 by the band Midnight Oil! Midnight Oil was a band from Australia. Just a little info about the singer Peter Garrett. After the band broke up he obtained his law degree and became a very influential politician in Australia. One of his main causes was fighting for the rights of, and correcting the injustices that had been done to, Australia's indigenous peoples...the Aborigines. The Aborigines of Australia were treated much like the American Indians here in the U.S. They had their lands taken from them by the Australian government many years ago and were segregated. In fact, that is what this song is about! When he sings...."it's time to give it back"....he is talking about returning certain Australian lands to the Aborigines that had been taken from them years ago. Peter Garrett was a very influential public figure in Australian government for many years. In fact, he just resigned from the Australian Parliament in August of 2013. This is a GREAT song, even if you are not aware of it's political implications!
And just in case anybody thought I was just making stuff up, lol. Here is Garrett's valedictory speech. WHY? Just because I can, lol..........

AC/DC is the reason I am half deaf today. This was at River Plate Sports Club, Buenos Aires Argentina (2009). I have often wondered if Angus Young sold his soul to the devil in order to become such a guitar genius. This performance leaves no doubt in my mind. Flawless! And very high energy!

WHY? Just because I love their music! RUSH is one of my "Top 3" favorite bands of all time. The other 2 are Pink Floyd & Led Zeppelin. Don't ask me to put them in order, because I don't think that I could. All 3 bands are equal in my book......all 3 are great. This particular performance of the song "Anthem" is from 1975. It will not be to everybody's liking. You either LOVE this kind of music.....or you hate it. Me? I love it!!! But I have run into more people who don't like it......than do. RUSH was just hitting their prime about the time that I was starting college. When college life got too stressful.....studying for exams.....finals, etc. Well, I would just put on a RUSH album (vinyl) and my headphones......and after 45 minutes or so I was CHILL and good to go!!!

This is pure gold! It is also a reference.....of sorts.....to my previous post from a few days ago. Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins of the band Foo Fighters induct RUSH into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame back in 2013. Dave and Taylor's description of RUSH in their intro is spot on! Dave Grohl mentions in the intro that his very first RUSH album was 2112 that his elder stoner cousin gave to him back in 1976. That is funny because MY first RUSH album was also 2112...and I also got it in 1976, my first year of college. Just my opinion....2112 is the bands best album, their masterpiece. I have owned that album in one form or another since 1976...vinyl...8-track...cassette....CD....I still have it and it NEVER gets old. To me, 2112 is some of the best music ever produced in the history of the planet. I just LOVE this video! There is a bit of a lead-in at the beginning of the video, the actual induction begins at the 2:35 mark..........

"2112" (twenty-one twelve) was their 4th studio album. It was released in 1976. Side One of the album is composed entirely of a seven-song suite that takes up the entire first side of the album. There were 4 songs on the other side of the album, but side one is what sent this album into the stratosphere. This video is side one ONLY! The 2112 album saved the band's career, literally. Right before the 2112 album, the band was pretty much in the tank....low album sales.....dwindling numbers at their concerts, etc. Mercury Records was going to release them from their contract, but decided to give the band one more chance. The result was 2112, and that album hit well over 3 million in sales, and went triple platinum in the US alone. The band has said that the 2112 album pulled their asses out of the fire, so to speak. My freshman year of college (1976) I would fall asleep with side one playing in my headphones.....with the volume down really low.....at least a couple of times a week......

I think I've said it before, I'm not a music buff by any means. I do like the band Imagine Dragons though, used a couple songs from them before, and probably use this one as well at some point. Kind of where I got my signature line "Whatever it Takes" and took the All or Nothing from the football specials on Amazon, pretty much sums up how I feel about Artesia Football and our philosophy

Don't be embarrassed, I am a HUGE KISS fan! Since 1980 when I saw the Dynasty album cover at our local K-Mart. Seen them 4 times. In 96 on their reunion tour, 2000 on their farewell tour, in 2010 for their Alive 35 tour and in Phoneix during their monsters of rock tour. Have the first 14 albums on vinyl including the solo projects.

This guy is genuine and speaks solely what’s in his heart and mind. He happens to be Christian but doesn’t label himself as a “Christian rapper.”
