Haven't seen it reported anywhere on amount, I'm going to assume the Veteran Minimum. which for him is $790,000 Another article I read sounded like Jones had a pick of teams and chose jacksonville. I'm guessing because he is thinking his chances may fair better to see the field and get a chance to play there. "Jones proceeded to work out for a handful of clubs, including the Buffalo Bills, Dallas Cowboys, Jaguars and Detroit Lions, according to Schefter." "Ultimately, Jones settled on the Jaguars as they eyed additional reinforcements behind Blake Bortles"

I don't even know......does Jacksonville even run a similar offense to Pittsburgh? Or is he going to be starting over learning the playbook from scratch?

I don't even know......does Jacksonville even run a similar offense to Pittsburgh? Or is he going to be starting over learning the playbook from scratch? From what I read it's all people new to him, nobody with ties to him, or from his previous mentors coaching tree in Pittsburgh, his former offensive coordinator todd haley, he just got fired in Cleveland with the Head Coach. I'm also not sure where he sits on depth chart, I read if Bortles couldn't play or is yanked, Cody Kessler would be the guy called upon. I'm thinking he's the 3rd guy on Depth Chart for now.

I think Blake Bell is a TE and Dede Westbrook is a WR for the Jaguars but I won't swear to it. I don't remember if Westbrook came while Landry was still at Oklahoma or after he had left. I thought this article was interesting: Steelers could face Landry Jones in Week 11

profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/06/06/landry-jones-to-participate-in-xfl-workout/Longtime NFL backup quarterback Landry Jones may play his next game in the XFL. The XFL announced today that Jones will be one of the participants in its “summer showcase” workout tomorrow. As PFT previously explained, the XFL is doing Combine-style workouts in each of its eight cities to try to identify the best available players. Jones’s workout is in Dallas, and although that doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll play for the Dallas XFL team, it seems highly likely that he will, given that he previously played for Bob Stoops at Oklahoma, and Stoops is now the coach of the Dallas XFL franchise. The 30-year-old Jones spent five seasons as Ben Roethlisberger‘s backup with the Steelers before being released last September. He spent less than a month with the Jaguars during the 2018 season, but did not play. He then spent two months with the Raiders this offseason. After the Raiders cut him he may have concluded that his best chance of earning a living playing football in the year ahead is to do it in the XFL.

After Chris Williams recovers from his torn achilles from last CFL season he also wants to try out for the Dallas XFL team. Hal Mumme is the offensive coordinator I believe, and they go back to NMSU together. Would be a good combo Landry throwing to CW.
