Imarec long time no see, good to hear from you again. Haven't seen the official schedule but as 90s dog says, same schedule just flip flop it, I would assume it would be the 3rd or 4th game of the season when Belen and then Deming come to town, I'm going to guess it would be the Deming game, the 4th game of the year. www.artesiabulldogfootball.com/scheduleHonestly I'll be glad if we have a home game period next year, still concerned football maybe in jeopardy, see what the pros do. Anyone think they might play high school games but not let fans attend ? or only so many allowed in the stadium ? maybe possibilities, I mean it happened with basketball. NMAA supposed to have a Meeting May 1st I think, not sure if we will know anymore then but maybe have some ideas of what could happen.

I have a question what is the difference between JVA and JVB? I have assumed that JVA are jrs although they don't have as many games as JVB. JVB being the sophomores. Could you enlightened me please?

That's pretty much it bdogfan, JVA is the juniors that usually don't see a lot of time on Friday Night, JVB is the sophs. Yeah there are not as many JVA games as there are JVB games.

There hasn't been much said. The one thing I did hear is that even if football get's pushed back that we will still play a reduced schedule and fit all sports into next school year if that makes sense. Right now everyone is having offensive and defensive meetings via Zoom and google meets with the kids. It's been good. We are always looking for ways to slow down and do a deep dive into our position groups. Handling not only scheme things but very fundamental things like stance, alignment, keys and responsibilities. there are a lot of things you can coach when you get time to slow down and spend time wisely. The fact that we have no choice right now can be a positive. Just depends how you spin it. And just like anything else, your competitors are doing it just as hard as you are so it's still a matter of coaching harder than the competition. I'm sure it's the same over there. I talked to Jeff Willingham last week and they are just staying in touch with the kids and teaching stuff on virtual white boards and zoom meetings.

Why is Roswell listed on the schedule as a district game? Roswell moved up to 6A this year, or at least I heard they did.

I mean it's a little weird,
we talked about it some before in another thread, where Mayfield was joining 5A in Football only, but will be in the highest classification for all other sports.
Different enrollment metrics for Football, so they can qualify for 5A football, but still enough enrollment for 5A in the other sports.
Remember we have 6 Classes in Football, to me we just need to get rid of 6A Football, just go back to 5A being the highest class.
