I'm sure everyone heard, no school for 3 weeks, no sports or activities, be interesting to see what happens when school resumes and what the plan is, maybe just pick up where it is on the current calendar.
Hopefully this is under control and things back to normal soon. No sports is rough on me lol, High School or pros, had tickets to go to spring training game in AZ next week. Just hope we are back to normal soon and this starts to blow over.

I quit following it after we were eliminated.

They are finishing up the tournament, playing the games but no fans allowed in attendance.
Hope Christian lost to #1 Seed Valley 50-47.
It's #1 Valley vs #3 Highland tomorrow.

Well,,I understand the reasoning behind closing the schools to control the spread the Covid-19,,,but are the officials talking out of both sides of their mouth to allow the kids to continue to play? You have players, coaches, referees, announcers, maintenance support,,they can ALL be carriers right? I would be OK with the decision IF ALL these people had been tested prior to the games before I would allow my child to participate.

How's everyone holding up?
Do you think the kids will go back to school this year? if they do will there even be the spring sports?
Feel for those seniors, seems everything is up in the air.

So far so good. We were scheduled for spring break this week but the next two weeks are going to be boring. We still will be paid our normal wages but not being out practicing sucks! There's only so much Nintendo that can be played. Hell, I even broke out the classic NES. I honesty don't think there will be spring sports. This might also affect the up coming winter sports too. I feel bad for ALL the seniors around the state. This is experience is one for the books.

Same here, doing fine, working from home for at least 2 more weeks myself. I do worry about those that will miss out some pay due to all this, hopefully the stimulus that's coming will tide some people over. Yeah I'm doing some gaming myself, got a couple games I play on my Ipad.
I agree with you on the spring sports, I'll be shocked if any games are played, but I guess a lot will depend where we are at as a country and what the experts say and recommendations. But if NCAA cancelled March Madness, NCAA cancelled College Baseball Tournament, I think that says a lot right there, not going to happen.

This isn't the no doom and gloom thread is it? My thoughts as of today, I think sports may not return until another year, when a vaccine is released hopefully. Unless something changes drastically between now and then, I see some were planning summer events but I just don't see how it can happen with no immunity or vaccine in place? maybe the summer will wear it off but seems like we can expect a return in the fall. They say a vaccine could take 12-18 months. What do some of you think?

Well,,I really do not want to interject politics into this forum, but, It PAINS me the see one party working their tails off to do anything and everything to get the two or three possible vaccines, that have already been used for years up and ready for Americans. Then, we have constant daily efforts by the other party to almost demand that we adhere to the 2-3 year "testing" process, never mind that these products have been in use "successfully" world wide for over 50 years! I am ashamed with my party leaders and will vote accordingly in November.

I hope we don't rush sports back too fast. The summer heat is supposed to slow the virus but then wen it gets colder it may come back. Although I would miss college and hs sports why not cancel everything until 2021 and hope the sceientist come up with a proven cure? It would cancel travel plans for wife and I but these death totals are hard to comprehend. Anybody agree with me or am I being too cautious?

Naw,,,you're good,, I feel the same way,,there is no good reason to rush things and chance exposing anybody later on down the line until a proven vaccine is available. the only'ist problem,,is that we now, ain't got very many excuses for why the yard looks like we been getting lots of rain or the car ain't washed,,,,,or any number of "Honey Do's" waiting to get started,,,,lol

There's lots of time. What's the rush? If that becomes necessary make the call at that point. They have everything shut down for now. What if they get the upper hand on this thing very soon? Better safe than sorry for sure, but those decisions don't have to be made right now.

I'm 66. Noticed within the past year or so how more and more "kids" in their 30s and 40s are holding doors open for me. When I thank them, it's fun to add the words "young man" or "young lady" when they do this.
