We lost another fellow Bulldog way too soon this past week. Harvey Rodriguez played WR for Coach Harvey in 86, 87. We grew up together after we met in Headstart at the age of 4, and would go watch his older brother’s Sammy, Peter, and Danny play on Friday nights at the Bowl for Coach Phipps. I have numerous memories of my great friend, It’s just hard to realize that we went from playing tackle football at halftime up on what was the practice field back then, with the little white football that the cheerleaders would throw, to playing for the Dogs to present day. It’s hard to say goodbye. RIP brother.

Sorry to hear that about your brother, my condolences. That's a good picture of him, just that classic bulldog look, field and berms full of grass, love it. Seems a lot of us grew up the same playing with those footballs behind the bowl. Thanks for sharing his memory with us, may he rest in peace.

Dang. I didn't see that one coming. Great family. Artesians. Real Artesia people. I don't guess anyone ever saw Harvey without a smile on his face? I know I sure didn't. Sorry Noonie. This one stings for all of us. For you a deep cut I am sure. RIP Bulldog Brother.

I remember the Rodriguez family well. Fine folks, as Tom said.
