Missed most of it, but was told they looked pretty good offensively and not bad on defense, but needed some polishing up!

hmmmm.............the defense was very impressive (better than i thought they would be against a running team). The OL needs some work. The QB threw some good balls, but we had trouble with the pass rush. Also, who is our running back? we didnt seem too confident in the RB situation. Usually we run more screens and draws.....i know its early and we are young, but expect us to be ready for lovington. Mark it down, we will win that one.

I wasn't there either but I thought Zeke Montoya was going to be at RB, little brother of Derek who played RB a few years ago. Zeke's got some good wheels, played QB last year on JV, he could take off on a scramble and gain some big yards.

Just heard Hobbs lost Mackey! He more less quit, moved back to Deming, where they said he could not play so? My brother was very mad, said Hobbs looked like s*** in thier scrimmage against Midland Christian.

according to paper, and Coopers comments, they were pretty pleased with the performance, and as always, needed work in some areas!

I didn't video the scrimmage bdogfan. I only shot photos. Randall didn't attend the scrimmage. So ... I'm pretty sure you're out of luck this time. I'm going to try and go friday night to Lovington if everything works out. I will probably video since photos don't turn out to well from the stands at night.

We looked pretty good coach! the defense was suprisingly fast and athletic. They flew to the ball really well. They didnt give up anything that big. Now the Big O on the other hand needs some work. The skill guys looked pretty decent (no standouts). The O Line needs some work!!! Our QB was getting hit and hit often. I hope to see out RB emerge in the passing game with early difficulties at OL. Overall, they look decent. They are a typical 'young' cooper henderson football team. I know coach henderson was happy bc the intesity was there. When you have motivated guys, its easy to build a football team...
Onate on the other hand was big and physical...they ran the spread offense and the 'wildcat' type offense. It is obvious thier QB will be the 'go to' guy. They moved the ball well against us a couple of plays, but we held our own against some mismatched linemen.
Overall, it will be interesting to see this team find thier own identity. Similar to last year, they didnt find it until late. Expect that this year. I hope this helps.

The o-line gave up 2 sacks late in the 3rd series. I thought they played pretty well actually. From what I understand you cant block 6 rushers when you only have 5 to block them.
