I don't have a ticket yet, but I'm coming down, via Alamogordo. I'm staying there so I can get to Ruidoso quicker on Sunday, and I'm off from work all of the next week.
I do plan to head over to the Cincinnati Bar before the game, so keep an eye out for a middle-aged guy in shorts, wearing OU stuff, who also has the remnants of a gash on the left shin from a yardwork malfunction.

We will have 4 folks at the game. Probably won't make the Cincy Bar but have fun at the game.

Bulldog Game Friday Night and head to EP Saturday Morning. This makes my 3rd game there, saw UNM vs UTEP in the Mckamey days, and OU vs Stanford in the Sun Bowl. My sister recently married a GI Joe from EP lol, I like him though. My family is going up to visit and stay with them, but only me and my son are going to the game. I figured I'd go back to her place after the game and make a big mess and get the kids up early Sunday and head back before she gets up. Prepare her for life with children, I figure I'm doing her a huge favor by doing this lol, that's what big brothers are for That yardwork malfunction sounds painful nmsooner80 drink an extra one for me ha ha.

I will be there with my crimson #12 Jones jersey on. I can't wait, this will be the 2nd time that I have gotten to see Landry play. First time was in 2009 when they played at Nebraska. I have a GA ticket so there is no telling where I will be sitting. If anyone wants to meet up let me know.

Wish Broyles wouldnt have got hurt. Maybe they can hook up in the NFL!
The game speed is amazing. I cant wait til Saturday!
ps. The only thing Price will be yelling is "they are rolling us"! LOL

Saw an interview with Price. Said that there are tons of tickets left...Locals are not too happy with the program...IDK why, they need to look North about 40 miles and see that they have it pretty good.

I decided to try to buy a GA ticket on-line, using my debit card, and it doesn't work. If anyone has an extra GA ticket, I'll be glad to meet somewhere tomorrow and pay face value for it ($25).

Sooners looked a little shaky last night. I thought Landry did good, wr dropped a couple passes, wish they let him take more shots downfield instead of that swing pass to the outside. One thing I can tell for sure is he's more mobile in the pocket back there.
Utep kicker was pretty bad, if he makes those 3 fg, who knows. Sooners win that's what matters most, hopefully they can pick it up though.

OU OC is going to kill the offense this year. Too cautious, The WR's do not seem to be very athletic either

Special teams were horrible. Run defense was suspect at times.
Landry looked good.
Gotta hand it to Price, he had his guys fired up. But, you'd think so close to mexico UTEP could have had a kicker...Hell I could have made two of those field goals. ROFL!

That kicker just choked I think, saw him warming up at half and he kicked at least a 35 yarder right down the middle. If it was the same guy that does the kickoff, he put it out of the back of the end zone every time, guy had a boot.

If it was the same guy that does the kickoff, he put it out of the back of the end zone every time, guy had a boot. I saw a lot of kickers putting kickoffs through the back of the endzone yesterday. I think it has more to do with the new rule changes that were implemented this year than anything else. collegesportsblog.dallasnews.com/2012/08/ncaa-rule-changes-could-make-for-more-touchbacks-fewer-onside-kicks.html/Beginning THIS year kickoffs are at the 35, instead of the 30 where they were last year. Also, touchbacks are now placed at the 25, not the 20. On-side kicks will have to be kicked so that they just roll along the ground for at least 10 yds. If the ball is on-side kicked and takes a high bounce into the air (like they're suppose to) then the receiving team can call a "fair catch" and must be given a 1 yard halo. Kind of defeats the whole purpose. All of these rule changes this year to avoid injuries on kick-offs. And to encourage touchbacks...thus avoiding injuries. They are killing the game.

OMG -Maybe they should put the ball on the 25 and go. No kickoffs

Landry didn't have time to do anything back there. His longest pass of the night was on a scramble/pass. 2 different kickers combined to miss 3 FG's. UTEP WR's are horrible. Couple of times the QB hit those guys 40-50 yards down field and they just dropped them. Those officials were horrible. They were so wishy washy on their PI calls and their calls in general.

Had fun at the game overall, except for an unexpected rash of lippiness, before and after the game, from the UTEP fans. A few people were gracious, but most of them seemed to think it was "cool" to be obnoxious. I would have expected it if UT-Austin had beaten OU last year, but I figured the Bevos would stay home.
Enjoyed being at field leve with Justin and a bunch of other OU fans in Section 12. It would have been more fun had it been a true rout. If the game had been in Norman, it would have been. The home crowd really got those Miners jacked up for the game.
I also thought it interesting, and impressive, that the whole town got behind UTEP. In Albuquerque, the "cool people" would have stayed home and gone shopping for Oakland Raiders' attire.
I was glad to see OU finally do some blocking in the last 20 or so minutes of the game. Landry rarely had time to throw. And when he did, he had some drops. The long TD pass to Stills was a thing of beauty.
It was pretty funny when the UTEP ROTC's went out to do their pushups on the opening drive, thinking the kick had been good. It was wide left, but they didn't seem to notice. And even the FSN guys thought the second field goal was good, until they came back from commercial (saw most of the replay at my folks' place). They actually used two kickers, and the second guy really missed badly on what would have been a game-tying field goal.
Had a long and tiring journey to get to my folks' place. Got back to my hotel room in Alamogordo at 2:30 a.m. then gradually worked my way on Sunday to Ruidoso, then to Clovis, where I stayed with friends. Then it took awhile to get to Lawton yesterday, although I did need that extra sleep at my age. I'm in Oklahoma all week and will go to the home opener in Norman this coming Saturday.
