Bulldogs 2-0 travel to Los Lunas to play Valencia who is 0-2 on the season. Jaguars lost to Moriarty 26-7 and Rio Grande 18-15. 1st ever meeting between the 2 teams, Valencia was 11-1 on the season last year they were eliminated in the 4A State Semi-Finals by eventual State Champ Aztec by a score of 41-47. Since that time Head Coach Kelly Lee left Valencia to take a coaching job at Eastern New Mexico, he was a major part of turning around a 1-9 program before him and was 26-9 during his time at Valencia. So it seems as if Valencia is having to start over again and will struggle this year.

This game replaces the Manzano series we had going, which didn't fair to well for us.
I was looking forward to this series, after the big year valencia had, they got the higher seed than us a 3 to our 4 but not nearly as tough a schedule. I was looking forward to proving ourselves against them but the game seems to have lost it's luster before it even begins, especially with the bad start the Jaguars have had.
The lovington and hobbs games were short, but this one maybe over quick, fast and in a hurry, especially if we are at full strength friday night but even then I don't see us being slowed down much.
I wonder how our turnout will be there, I know I'll be sitting this one out.

Just remember how Arkansas must have felt before they played Louisiana-Monroe or how Oklahoma State felt about Arizona! Let's not jinx anything. If the worst happened, even if caused by food poisoning or whatnot, imagine how it would be to have all the Valencia guys visiting this site afterwards.
Okay, that’s my Debbie Downer advice for the day.

I will not be making the trip to Valencia. I hope to watch the game at ksvpradio.com. BUT, I know that if Valencia's pressbox doesn't have internet that will not be possible. Does anybody know for sure! Will KSVP be able to stream the game? ALSO.........my new desktop background! Cotton Bowl, Dallas TX! Just thought it was a cool pic!

There will be no live video streaming tonight. Valencia doesn't have internet at their football field. KSVP is videoing the game and will broadcast it on a tape delay basis beginning at 9:00am tomorrow morning.

Just FYI ... I heard mention on the radio earlier that the Jaguars have a Jaguar decal on the side of their helmets now. No longer just the plain silver/grey helmet. I still remember the paw print on our helmets way back in the day. I must admit that I do like our plain orange helmet though.

Thank Goodness. I hate smack talk because every time I try it, it backfires. Baseball ... yelling no hitter, no hitter ... grand slam home run, etc. That's how it works for me. That's why I keep my mouth shut.
