www.golobos.com/sports/m-footbl/recaps/092912aad.htmlI was there. It was miraculous that UNM even got back into the game, down 25-0 and kicking off to start the second half. Bollema's recovery, which was made official when the replay booth overturned a horrific call on the field ("runner was down..." - NOT!), set up the first Lobo TD. Once Cole Gautsche got it going, the game really got interesting. And, when the Lobos held and got the ball back with a chance to tie or win, it really got electric inside the stadium - probably for the first time since the '08 Utah game. But, it just didn't happen this time. I know it sounds like I'm making the case for a "moral victory," but it was really more of a sign that things are on the upswing here. This Lobo team is actually less talented overall after all the "Locksley first" people from back east jumped ship. But the guys who stayed played with a ton of heart. Last year's team, in this situation, would have lost by 60.

Although Carmen Massena got all the publicity last year I thought he was overated. I am very impressed with Dallas so far this year and think he is a better overall player than Carmen, keep it up Dallas!

IMHO, the way Dallas played was the ONLY good thing about that game (ha-ha).
