Moved your post Gitrdone, figured it needed it's own thread. Oct 6, 2012, 7:35am, Charliedog wrote: "I have seen this many times in the last few years. Dog early in season biting on ankles trying to tackle. Missed Tackles all night long. As I have always said that this can be corrected and many times D players were in position to make the tackle and just tried to tackle an ankle. It will be corrected and tackling will get better each game. Make them run Bleachers for each missed tackle" From GitrdoneCdog, if you see what just happened in Iowa, football will not be played in its current form much longer. Unbelievable. sports.yahoo.com/blogs/prep-prep-....154701889.html

This is absolutely crazy. Our children will eventually have zero discipline in their lives.

Oh my..... next thing you know can't run middle drill, or think about tackling.... That is just so outrageous it is giving me a brain cramp.... I seem to recall one time I jumped off sides in practice and i had to do "up downs" for five minutes with Coach Norton.... yeesh... I didn't do it again and I became tougher because of it.... These people need to get a grip!!!

No more two a days, no more practicing in pads? With all the "HITS" lately in NFL, they may ban football. I remember when I was playing at ZIA (not Artesia Intermediate lol) I took my helmet off for a second, just so happens Coach Maskew caught me, got the old whack with forearm pads, I think it sent me off floor for about 5'! I really didn't take it off either, just raised it up! LOL

So you're telling me that running bleachers because I missed a few of my weight lifting sessions in the summer is corporal punishment! Man what a joke! When i played, you had to run 2 bleachers for every day of lifting in the summer you missed, because if your teammates can be there, you should be able to make up what you missed. Also i remember if you got a penalty in Friday's game, you KNEW on Monday afternoon that you and Coach Henderson would spend some quality time together doing a few penalty drills (up downs). So what's next, you can't run a lap around bulldog bowl in the morning because making everyone run is punishing them? Like they say on ESPN.....CMON MAN!!

I hated monday afternoons after a friday night game when I got a penalty. Coach Henderson showed no mercy. I remembered puking a few times SMH! I tried after a few sessions very hard not to get anymore penalties lol! NO MERCY
