Roswell High 6'7 Jr Basketball Player Alex Olesinski, is moving to Indiana and will play basketball at a boarding school La Lumiere.
Big time player, this will hurt the coyotes some but their basketball program has been top notch for awhile.

That is bad news for the Coyotes basketball program, but it makes me feel a LITTLE better knowing that we are not the only ones going through this! I am referring to the defections within our own football program. There's been SO much bad news concerning the Bulldog football program lately that I am almost afraid to log on to this site anymore. Seems every time I log on recently there is more bad news concerning our football program. Time to stop the bleeding! Yeah, I know this thread is supposed to be about the Roswell High basketball player, but does anybody have any GOOD news about our football program? Anybody?

Hopefully we will have some good news soon on the defensive coordinator front on a new hire, I'm hearing about a candidate for the job, won't speculate on here but maybe the move might happen soon.

Challenges are how program grow. This is a challenge;put the challenge out to the younger JV players. Challenges against west texas teams partly made the football program strong. I wished the 'dogs would continue playing tough and strong team. Nevertheless a solid qb leaving and others not returning is a challenge for the program. Coach Cooper will meet those challenges...

Sometimes there is addition by subtraction!

Thanks guys! And Jades, I DO understand the concept of addition by subtraction...but when you are losing probably one of the top 2 QBs in the state regardless of class it is difficult for me to understand how that could possibly be spun into a positive. We are not going to get a better QB than the one we are losing! I can almost guarantee you that with 100% certainty. Now coaching changes, especially on the defensive side of the ball, is a different matter! Especially with the way our defense has been lately.

I would not underestimate the power of the next QB in Artesia. He may just be quicker, faster and more on target than the previous one. It takes 11 young ladds to make a football team. Go Dogs....

It's not me. I just have tremendous respect for Coach Henderson, and a close friend of 30 years, who I beleive in big time, who is currently on the staff. I expect big things. This might be as big a plus for Bulldog nation, as has taken place in years. It would be very difficult for me to over-state how excited I am as a concerned Bulldog.
