I think this game is going to be a lot more interesteing. I like how The defense responded when the game was on the line and I know if Willingham has anything to do with it that defense wont mess up twice. I know they will prepared and ready to go. GO DOGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Should be a great game. For a young team in their first game I thought we played pretty good last week. Impressed that we played well all four quarters and finished the game with a come from behind victory. I know the Coaches and players are excited and concentrating on getting better every week. Good luck Dogs. Beat Hobbs!

Gleghorn is a Cooper Clone. He is building the program the same way Cooper did in Artesia when he became HC. He will be the guy to finally make Hobbs a Football town. Very talented classes from Sophs down and BIG numbers all the way through system. Fantastic Off Season program and building character before muscles.

Doesn't Gleghorn have Artesia roots? I know that there is a Gleghorn family here that has been here forever, 1950s or earlier. I thought he was related some how.

Yes his Dad worked at Refinery and after his Dad died his Mom married Jeff Cearley when he was O Line Coach at Artesia. In fact Jeff proposed to her on 50 yard line of Bulldog Bowl on New Years Eve

It appears that it will be a long nite for Artesia. Hopefully they won't get mercy ruled. Those sophomores are going to have to bring that defense up two notches. Who gave the Hobbs coach, Artesia offensive play book?

35-12 Hobbs takes it, lots of mistakes by the Bulldogs tonight, several turnovers, if we eliminate those this would have been a close game, we were still in it in the 4th quarter. Young team, rookie mistakes, hopefully they will improve on that as we go.

Hats off to Hobbs tonight. I can't say they played well, but they won. People, our defense is pretty salty. They didn't let up a touchdown in the second half. Offense needs work........more reps! Please keep encouraging these kids!
A last word to the Hobbs Fans......Celebrate your victory. This probably made your season. However, we don't forget things. When this group puts up 60 plus on you next year we will get out laughs.

Stay classy bulldog booster. Not the eagles fault your qb went me-me on your program. Your team played hard and was unlike any other Artesia team I have ever seen. Too many mistakes, but they kept coming. Be proud of your team and realize it's a long season.

Eaglefan7 - You need to take your own advice. First off, there is a lot more gone than the QB you are speaking of. Second off, there is waaaaaaayyyyy more to the story than a QB going me-me as you say. You know nothing about that situation, and I will just leave it at that. Third, Our QB wears 18 and 19 this year not 17 anyway! Congratulations on your victory, I hope your team does well and gives the state a run for their money. I, personally, don't think your there yet, but if Gleghorn stays, he will get your there, he is a BULLDOG after all!!!!

Bulldog booster 45! Yeah I don't see you getting your laughs next year!!!!!!! Please do remember that our Freshman boys shut out Artesia last year!!!!!! We only get scarier from here on out! Love that you fans can't call it like it is! Hobbs Eagles sent your bulldogs down the loser ramp last night and will continue to do so! We out played you plain and simple!!!! Please don't take credit for our coach! At one time you guys did have a team that was unstoppable! That team is gone and the Eagles will prove at
Hat for years to come!!!!!

A lot of mistakes for the dogs last night but im proud of how they fought. Keep your heads up guys. Hobbs just brought their A game last night but I personally saw basically the same offense Artesia runs Tracy. Remember its not all about which class is best its who makes the least amount of mistakes and who controls the game. Congrats on your win last night. Enjoy it while it last.

Oh now we can't take credit for a coach from Artesia, who I might add is a trying to be a Cooper Henderson clone! Wow, did Hobbs take credit for Timmy Smith, did Lovington take credit for Brian Urlacher? Come on! He is from Artesia. His Step Dad was an Artesia Coach. He is and always will be a BULLDOG! Don't you worry, Bulldog football may be down a little but it's not out and not gone! Our team is young. They will grow. Last night was a learning experience. That's it! Nothing more, nothing less. If you think you are a contender in 5A with that team, you are sadly mistaken. I hope you are but I just don't think so, yet! Hang in there, though, like I said that BULLDOG will get you there, that is if your townies don't discourage him and run him out of town like they have every other coach!

Were some of the Hobbs fans getting mouthy, acting tacky or something? I'm a bit in the dark here.
