Sad that the Bulldogs lost but glad that Artesia roots may be turning that program around. I saw a lot of bulldog and Coach Henderson offense with Hobbs last night. Our young team made up of Sophomores and Juniors will bounce back and Coach Gleghorn I'm sure will take Hobbs to a second level after all some of his growth was in T- Town. Go Dogs beat Valencia.

Were some of the Hobbs fans getting mouthy, acting tacky or something? I'm a bit in the dark here. I don't know Rick, I was wondering the same thing. I guess we are both in the dark.

I don't think there was any ugliness in the Eagles fans. They were excited about beating the Dogs for the first time in the Bowl in 22 years. We struggled last night in every aspect of the game. We will get better. We need to be as encouraging as we can and keep expectations realistic this year. Dogs just need to work hard and get better every week.

When this young group of Bulldogs are seniors, watch out!

Just to give yal some insight, Gleghorn played football and graduated as a Lovington Wildcat

Hey lets put this argument to bed. Coach Gleghorn was a proud lovington Wildcat and now is a proud Hobbs Eagle. He has spent hours with Coach Henderson picking his brain and I know he would consider it an honor to think that people are even talking about him and Cooper in same sentence.

Plain and simple the Hobbs DEFENSE is whatwon the game last night, the offense was sloppy, the DEFENSE were the ones dominating on the field and making plays, and Gleghorn doesn't call the D plays

It takes offense and defense and special teams top win a game.

Eagle Fan that kind of talk is what will tear a team apart. You might want to reconsider if it is worth beating your chest on just one aspect of the game and create divisiveness in your own team. You win as a team and you lose as a team.

No argument, C-dog, I stand corrected. I thought Gleghorn was an Artesia boy. I know he has or had family here. The real reason I got involved is the eagle fan commenting about Eulenbach being a me-me. A whole lot more than football, don't really even think that was part of the conversation, went into the decision the family made and that eagle fan knows nothing about it. The rest of it was just digs, but I guess I didn't know what I was talking about there! LMAO Isn't the first and won't be the last on that, I'm sure. Hobbs has a way to go before they proclaim themselves "good" at football. That team is not near as good as we made them look last night!!! Let's see how they fair in district this year.

Just being honest, if the offense was proud of that performance than they need to take another look at the tape, they need to get better, and when your defense scores 21 points on they're own, then that's something to be proud of, the defense shut down Artesia just like they did Gadsden, yes your team shot therselves in the foot with stupid mistakes, but Hobbs did what they were supposed to do and capitalized on those mistakes, that's the name of the game

Eagle fan I hope your son does not play D and if he does I hope Coach Felicity never hears him talking like you are. You do not understand team football. Coach Gleghorn does and that is why he is at Hobbs.

This is my opinion we gave hobbs the game on a silver platter, we had what 5 turnovers? I'll give credit to the Eagle defense but we were very sloppy with ball handling and the 2 pick 6's were killer.
In my opinion Hobbs has a long way to go as do we. A friend reminded me today, the last time we lost to Hobbs we won State, it's a long season, we have a ways to go but anything can happen.

Charliedog seems a lil bit hurt by the loss so I will leave you alone, it's over Eagles did the job in Artesia so now it's time to move on and focus on Roswell, this doesn't complete our season still have a long way to go, but boy it sure was fun getting the win in Artesia, it's a new era for Hobbs Eagle Football, get over it
