AO, I will take you up on a "friendly" bet, on the polls. I don't want to take too much money from you, so it will be a "friendly" bet. OK? Let me know by Sunday, no cheating! LOL

Final RR 30 LC 22 sloppy game, too many penalties by both teams. LC came back, they have real big O and D lines. can see why they are always in contention for a title. Rams QB Bruer is having a more consistent season, dont think he has an interception yet. Dosent get any easier on the road at Clovis next week. I dont get too excited, beleive in the aaying of the Minnesota Wild hockey announcer - When you loose say little, when you win say less.
Randall- Please text me your cell phone, I have the wrong number

What a crazy night in NM high school football. WOW! Just a few of the thoughts that have been running through my mind tonight................ First of all, I didn't go to the game tonight but I did listen. I turned it off at halftime when the game was well in hand and went to bed. Woke up from my "nap" at 3am and made a pot of coffee, then got online to find the final score. Boy was I ever surprised! 53-15 over a 3-0 team that beat Carlsbad? What does it all mean? Guess we will just have to wait and see. You have to wonder what was going through the minds of the Cavemen when they heard that Artesia/Deming score, right? Very happy for Rio Rancho. It's been a long time coming. Maybe this is the year that they make it to the big game. With Onate's win over Hobbs, is Onate the best kept secret in NM high school football? With who won tonight, and who lost, and who beat who......it has me thinking that we just had a bad game against Hobbs. If we play Hobbs again we beat them by 2 TDs. Clovis use to be a contender every year, but they have fallen on hard times. What the heck is going on with the Clovis Wildcats? Has the game passed Roanhaus by? And last but not least, Belen beating Goddard just blew my mind.

I really believe it was a bad night for the bulldogs when they got beat by Hobbs. They were not playing their game. Oh, history is something nobody can do nothing about. I am glad for the Bulldogs, I think they need to enjoy the sweetness of victory over Deming and then from today forward concentrate on the game plan against Carlsbad. Go Dogs whip the Cavemen....

Good game by Rio Rancho no doubt. Hats off to them! No excuses here but Las Cruces did play without three key starters last night. #22 Isaiah McIntyre (best player for LC) NMSU bound was out, Carlos Campos 306 lb their best lineman (both on O & D line) was out, and their best running back #21 Chito Molinar left the game in the 1st qtr. last night and never returned (Ankle) A one score loss on the road isn't the end of the world. They usually respond well after a loss like this. They should be back to full strength by the time district starts. We hope we get another shot at RR down the line. Centennial is next (should be a tough game) By the way, great win by Artesia vs Deming!

That Deming quarterback was pretty impressive. If they had just a few more weapons, they would be pretty tough. Delta, is that 22 a relative of yours?

Hey Big Dog, Actually his parents are. He's a good kid, quite gifted. He plays several positions from RB, Receiver and DB. We sure could have used him last night. He hurt his Patella (knee cap) against Volcano Vista last week. Injuries are part of the game unfortunately. Thanks for asking.

Defense, defense and defense. That is what the 'dogs need to do for Carlsbad. The offense will take care of itself. The 'dogs kicker needs to practice, practice and practice...

James Yodice wrote in todays Albuquerque Journal that the Rams vicroty over LCHS was "relatively meaningless". I wrote to the SportsSpealup and told he he was insulting the Ram players and the great LCHS program. I told him to go to Artesia and tel the fans that a victory over #1 Goddard was "relatively meaningless" that he would get run out of town, was I right or not? His comments are too much even for me, and I usually downplay things.
