This will be the 98th meeting of what has become to be known as the Eddy County War. Artesia (3-1) beat an undefeated Deming team last week, but this week the Cavemen come into Artesia defeated with an (0-4) Record. With losses to
El Americas 35-19 Deming 20-19 Mayfield 45-8 EP Eastwood 61-26
If you listened to any of the commentary during the 5 Decades Celebration of the 64,74,84,94,04 State Champion teams last week you heard that Carlsbad had gotten the best of the 94 and 04 Teams, in one instance I believe it was Carlsbad only win all year was against Artesia. It is a rivarly game so throw out the records.
Last year the Cavemen beat Artesia 41-21.

It was in fact the '94 Carlsbad team that won one game all year. I am told if was fumblerooski that did the trick. I have been asked on two different occasions to come to work at Carlsbad schools. I know others with blood just as orange as mine have worn the blue and silver. But their father is not TW Harvey. I could never coach against Artesia and certainly not at Carlsbad. My dad would not be pleased. LOL

I'm not as passionate about it as him but I've never considered buying a Ford out of respect to him, he would be upset with me too lol.

This is too good not to share on the board, for those that can't see our games in the Bowl and watch the Jumbotron.
So lucky to have SkyRider Designs in Artesia make these animations. He's just a newbie at this really but he's getting better all the time.
Check it out.

Slow start for Artesia but they come out on top big 38-14.
Artesia moves to 4-1 and will face the Las Cruces Bulldawgs in Artesia next week.

I was impressed with the bulldog PAT kicker and the field goal he made. Is he the same person or is it another player? If it is the same person he practiced and it paid off. Nevertheless, when he kicked the PAT's and that field goal he projected a lot of confidence. You did good young man. Keep it up...

Yeah because he lost about 75 pounds and learned how to kick soccer style, left footed......JK. I thought the youngster is a vast improvement as well!
