I have a sneaky feeling, the running game is being saved for the last few games of season?? I sure hope so anyway because I don't think there is too many people in the state that can stop Travis, I might even throw in UNM or NMSU! LOL Oh wait, didn't they BOTH win today? I got the normal ribbing from my son because Baylor beat my Longhorns. Give the Horns a few years, if they have any players left, and they will be back! This football season is crazy, 2 unbeaten teams in NFL, after just 4 weeks? 7 or 8 ranked NCAA teams were beat today, even though a few were playing ranked teams. High school, how long has it been since Las Cruces has lost 3 in a row (I know they are missing some key players, but they were still pretty D*** good. Gotta LOVE IT!!!!! GO DOGS TAKE STATE, after all it is a year ending in 4!!!

That has made me wonder this whole season, why not give travis the ball more? He is dominating defenses and knows the game! Can someone elaborate?

I agree Travis is a beast but you also have to realize this spread offense and the ability to throw the ball creates that running game. Our offense is backwards from most who run to set up the pass. Cruces for some reason was playing nobody in the middle of the field. The MLB jumped down to nose and all we had to do was turn him, Travis hit the hole and nobody else was there and you are NOT going to catch him. That happened on two of those runs. I may be mistaken, but I bet that was called on the field as they noticed that alignment. The swing pass was all Travis, He has great vision and the speed to make it happen.
I also agree to run the ball late in games with a win, but if we are going to do that, we need another set to run out of. We used to have a running set but scrapped it years ago. Maybe we see it again sometime with the running backs. Who knows, but I think Coach believes you run your offense! While at times it can get frustrating, the footballs on the press box tell the story.

After being out of the program for a couple of years, Bubba is finally starting to put it all back together. He is definitely someone who gets better the more comfortable he gets. He is going to be a hand full for sure. Gonna be a fun ride boys, sit back and enjoy. Travis play his sophomore year with my Nephew James

I think he will get the ball more often. Problem now may be that defenses will "zero" in on him. Then again that's the good thing about a passing attack. Go dog's beat the tigers...

Personally speaking, he is good enough to still get 15+ touches every night. Very true about the passing game as well. Justin has had some very impressive throws throughout the season.

Just give number 24 the ball and let him run with it.

My cousin Hambone45 says he's the real deal he don't say that about many kids, he wants Eastern to go after him.

In the pregame interview with Travis via the internet, he did say he wanted to play football in a Division II school it may be that Eastern would fit in his D II school but by what he said it seems that he desires to end playing in Oregon. I'm guessing he meant the Oregon Ducks. He wants to major in criminology. Nevertheless, he is a great ball carrier and runner.
