Animation by SkyRider Designs, seen on the Jumbotron at Bulldog Bowl.
District Play Begins this Friday in Bulldog Bowl when the Coyotes (1-6) take on the Bulldogs (6-1)
Artesia defeated Roswell last year 41-7 in the Wool Bowl, from my research the last time Roswell defeated Artesia was in 2000 14-16. This is last Friday Night home game of the year baring the playoffs, and will we see the Bulldogs wearing all Orange this Friday? tune in and find out.

I remember that 14-16 loss, too. It kept us out of the playoffs.

I remember that 14-16 loss, too. It kept us out of the playoffs. Yeppers, I remember it as well...ALMOST like it was yesterday. That was DonTrell Moore's senior year at RHS...UNM Lobos, NY Jets, Tennessee Titans, Tampa Bay Bucs after that. The game was a real heart-breaker. We lost it very late, maybe in the last minute. It was a "big play" that won the game for Roswell in the closing minutes, I am thinking it was either a kick-off or punt return for a TD...or a 60+ yard run. We had the game in the bag and let it get away. Roswell went on to defeat Piedra Vista 35-31 in the championship game that year, a game in which Roswell High received a scare. They were down HUGE to Piedra Vista something like 28 pts mid-way through the 3rd quarter. They came roaring back and won it late. I remember listening to the Roswell vs Piedra Vista game on the car radio while driving to Portales.

I believe Dontrell returned a punt for the go ahead score and their other score was a pick-six I believe. Dog defense shut down the Roswell offense that night and out-played them overall but couldn't pull it out on the scoreboard where it counted.
