Terrible football. If anyone thinks that helps Artesia they are crazy. There are peewee teams in TX better than ST. They took Ruidoso place, 4A opponent to a 5A. As said quarterfinal team last year. On paper it's an upgrade, it ain't our fault they were a complete dud friday night. I agree though that a game like that doesn't help us much. Roswell had PV for their homecoming game, no way they thought that would have been #1 vs #2 when it was scheduled. Guess they wanted no more of the Dumas Demons from last year just the way it happened.

Did I hear the radio guys say that due to injuries, Santa Teresa had to use its No. 3 quarterback this game? I don't remember hearing anything about that, but doesn't mean they didn't say it. I was in-and-out most of the game.....missed parts of it. Maybe somebody else knows something. On Santa Ts first possession Joby said their starting QB was injured the week before. 32 their FS/WR played qb and did not attempt a pass. He also played some defense when their #7 was injured. Late in the 2nd quarter they attempted their first pass. Final score may have been different but the end result would probably be the same.

Between the two teams Artesia and Roswell your looking at the a potential state championship match up.
The desert warriors being a step up from Ruidoso is truth. But this team isn’t the same bulldogs from last year. Yes this isn’t the type of the game that type of game that gives you much improvement on what you need heading into this next game but the dogs have two weeks to get prepared. Also gives the coyotes two weeks too.
Comes down to two teams going tooth and nail to get top seed. It will be one heck of a game.

This has nothing to do with the ST game, but those of you who've seen the Bulldogs play so far this season -- what's your overall opinion of the officiating thus far?

I try not to say much on that, it's a hard job and nobody wants to do it anymore.
No major gripes so far, I thought the Lovington game had some bad calls, the white hat likes to make himself I was told from someone I trust, cbad crew.
See how it goes down the stretch, when some games could be pretty close.
