I heard that an athlete from Cleveland HS played on 7 State Championships teams during his high school career and got to thinking about which Bulldog male athlete/athletes played on the most State Championships teams (not individual championships) during their career. I would imagine that the athlete/athletes played in the 1990s. During the 1990s, AHS won State Championships in football (92,93,94,96,97, & 98), basketball (95 & 97), track & field (97 & 98), golf (98), and baseball (93,94, & 96).
I listed a few players that came to mind that I believe had 4 State Championships: David Patterson, David Joseph, Frank DeHoyos, Richard Cardenas, JP Hutson, Scott DeHoyos, Chad Letcher (I believe that these athletes all had 2 in football & 2 in baseball. I believe Michael Rogers had 2 in basketball, 1 in baseball & 1 in football. If you know of any players with 4 or more please add them on here. Thanks.

Did Mark West participate in track? If so, he did participate in our state championship run in 96. So he'd have 3 football championships and 2 track if he participated in track & field.

Man......I wouldn't even know where to begin! You would have to have all different years of rosters from all different sports. And a WHOLE lot more time and patience than I have! Good luck with this, you guys are on your own, lol.

I'm bias but some of the best classes and coaches in the big 3 sports for the boys ever. I recall a lot of winning, we would always have an assembly with ice cream sandwiches, there was a lot of them back then.

Know for a fact that Frank DeHoyos has participated in four state title games. And coached in 2 also.

Here are the ones that come to mind from years of ‘94-‘99.
*We were co-champs in Track in ‘99 as well. (Co-champs w/ Abq. Academy).
(6) Marc West (‘96-‘98 football, ‘97-‘99 Track) (6) Charles Maupin (‘96-‘98 football, ‘97 -‘99 track) (5) Aaron Kennemur-(‘97 & ‘98 football, ‘97-‘99 track) (5) Michael Rodgers (‘96 football, ‘95 & ‘97 basketball, ‘94 & ‘96 baseball) (4) Gabriel DeHoyos (‘96 & ‘97 Football, ‘94 & ‘96 baseball) (4) Jimmy Hamilton (Baseball ‘96, Basketball ‘97, Football ‘96 & ‘97) (4) Josh Sneed (‘96 & ‘97 football, ‘97 & ‘98 track) (4) Grant Taylor (‘97 & ‘98 football, ‘98 & ‘99 track)
I might probably left off some names from ‘98/‘99. Classes of ‘98 & ‘99 were loaded.
