How many young kids are getting playing time. If this is a young team NM better get ready Hey ChickenSalad here coach. #59 is my grandson. He's 6'3 215 defensive line and loves football. After all these years I finally got me a boy to watch play football for the Bulldogs. I Love the name Papasalad. I will look for him in streamed games and dang you are still on of my favorite of all-time. I have told your story around the world

DogPile filmed with overhead Drone. This video is making the rounds on Facebook, 700 likes 35k Views, 342 shares. It must have got shared on some HS site I'm getting likes from all over the country, some comments, mostly good, some bad, deleted a few. Anyways, A guy commented that the Shelby Golden Lions in North Carolina do the dog pile. I found a video on it and how they have done it over the years, one team that played them did a mock dog pile and it didn't end well for them.

I noticed you also grabbed a photo for the new Bulldog Forum cover? Photo.

Thank you, yeah I just paused the video and got a screen grab of it. It does look good if I say so myself, made me realize how good the drone video is vs my camcorder. I need to upgrade it lol. That dog pile is in 4k too if you got a 4k monitor, blows me away. Anyone know how long we have been doing the dog pile? or when it was started Mr Evarts earliest proof is 1972 in a photo, anyone know for sure how/when it got started?

Anyone know how long we have been doing the dog pile? or when it was started Mr Evarts earliest proof is 1972 in a photo, anyone know for sure how/when it got started? I know for a fact that it goes back before 1972. They were doing the dog pile when they played varsity games at Morris Field before Bulldog Bowl was open. And the first year The Bowl was open was 1967. My Mom graduated from AHS in 1952 and was a member of the pep club or whatever they called it back then. Dad graduated from HS in Dublin TX. They got married in Artesia in 1954. Mom converted Dad into a Bulldog fan pretty quick! So my parents were Bulldog fans WAY before I was even born......and as a result of their Bulldog fandom they were dragging me to Bulldog games at Morris Field since I was probably 5-6 years old. I would guess that the dog pile goes as far back as 1964.....the year I started 1st grade.......because I remember us guys practicing doing the dog pile on the playground at Hermosa Elementary when I was in the 1st grade........and that would have been 1964-1965 school year.

That's awesome crispy, I would love to know the history when it was first done and who started it, or did we invent it ? my guess is we didn't invent it but we've been doing it a long time that's for sure and unlike the Shelby Golden lions our fans are right there with it, awesome and unique I think.

I don't like the Shelby one - too much flipping and showboating. Also why would Lions do a dog pile?? They need to try that kitty pounce or whatever that was

For trivia the coaches in that picture are Vernon Asbill and Nick Norton standing, L-R kneeling are TW Harvey, Ronnie Maskew, Mike Phipps, and LG Henderson. That's my bst guess.

MaxPreps has us beating them 42-27 on a neutral field I totally missed you posting this uncle hal lol. It would be cool to play someone that's on the other side of the states, but yeah Calpreps is probably as close as we will get.
