That is absolutely ape sh!t monkey nuts! Having said that.......I would venture to guess that 2 of our non-district games will be Carlsbad and Hobbs. Been playing those 2 every year since the early 1700s. And NO way the Eddy County War will ever end!!! Oh, and just an afterthought......dreams of EVER playing a Texas team just ended. SUCKS!!!

1-5A is an absolute joke. every year Valley or LA, whichever that runs through that district will get the 3 seed and get 50-0ed by the 6 seed from the south
Manzano won the 6A state championship just 6 years ago, now they are in 4A… WOW

IMO Lovington should have always been with us, Roswell & Mayfield should be in 6A, up in everything else.
Any wonder the biggest schools have been in the 5A title game, Roswell, PV, Los Lunas 2 of the latter just went to 6A. Nobody does more with the enrollment #'s in the class they play in than Artesia for Football. We are closer to a 4A school.
So sick of these schools that bounce up and down. Sometimes I think creating 6A was the problem.
anyways. Don't see much changing for us, Lovington will have their work cut out for them.

I bet he is hiding in a closet. Could you imagine having to look your buddies in the eyes after successfully petitioning the NMAA to play down? Embarrassing….. |

If my math hasn't failed me we will have 8 teams in our district which will equate out to 7 district games. Figuring our non-district games will be Carlsbad and Hobbs what do we do for the 3rd non-district game? Keep Cleveland? Add a Texas team or add Clovis?

This may sound like chicken crap but I say ride off into the sunset with the Cleveland game.
I'd like to play a Las Cruces school again, Centennial Coach Ocampo didn't mind playing us at Manzano he had our # too, 2nd Choice Las Cruces, 3rd Los Lunas.
I use to really enjoy the Clovis series but they have gone down hill big time.

two trips over the mountains every year. Lovington crushed opponents with over whelming athletic superiority. They will really struggle to finish 5th or better

I say schedule Andrews and a classic Tom Harvey against his old school Tom has said on here more than once that he will NEVER coach against his alma mater. And it has nothing to do with a fear of losing. I think it has more to do with the emotions that would be involved. Hard to explain, but maybe you understand. Maybe Tom can explain it to you better.....if he sees this. |
