A few things I got the counter up for the 2011 Kickoff, the new schedule should be complete by the end of the week. I'm working on redesigning the website again, its still a work in progress, so some stuff will be added in as I get time to work on it. On the schedule page there is a link to the previous years schedule and results with scores going back from now to 1953. These were taken from Dan Ford's Website, it's pretty impressive what he has done, he has scores and results for a lot of schools going way back. Here is his website if your interested danfordsports.weebly.com/If there is any alumni I need to add to that page let me know, for those who played bulldog football and went on to play college football. Probably still some out there I don't have listed www.artesiabulldogfootball.com/Alumni.htmlI'm also considering making some changes to the forum, eliminating most or all of the sub forum sports boards except football and just grouping them all together in 1 sub board. I want to simplify the board somehow since their is just so many topics and just not enough content on some of them even when the sport is in season. That's all I got for now any questions or other thoughts send me a message on here. The clock is ticking www.artesiabulldogfootball.com/

Wow it is impressive Randall. I do remember him giving me some information about 5 years ago on the Old Coach Network, but lost track of him when the site was sold.

The site is looking really good Randall. I really like the front page, lots of black. Love it!
Just one question. Will the old rosters from the old game programs be going back up? I never realized how much I use to enjoy looking through those until they were gone.

Thanks Crispy, Yeah I'll definitely have the old rosters back on there, that's one of the things I've been planning to get around too, within the next week or two I should have them back up.

AHS will beat Cathedral like they stole something. Just like they would have done to Portales who waved the white flag after 1 of a 2 game series.

It would have been nice to have played Onate rather than Cathedral.

The reason Artesia is playing Cathedral is because Public schools in both Texas and NM sign two-year contracts vs. opponents, also known as home and home deals. These guarantee each school a home game. Most schools honor their word and return the trip, I guess Portales is not held to any type of honor by their administration. Speaks very poorly of The city, the school district, and its administration. Private schools, such as EP Cathedral, do not always live and die by these deals, as do schools in NM, governed by the NMAA, and Texas public schools which are governed by the University Interscholastic League. EP Cathedral likely had a 1 year deal with either another private school, or possibly a team from Mexico. That is why they too were looking for a game. Generally, a school which breaks contract, as Portales did, pays a penalty of some sort to the NMAA and the school to which the contract was broken. In this case Artesia, which likely has to pay EP Cathedral that money, because I'm assuming there will be no return trip to El Paso in 2012. Artesia will be looking for a home and home deal with a more honorable school than Portales, since that will be the beginning of a new 2 year cycle. So, all this information for the purpose of saying that it was either Cathedral or a 9 game schedule. As most schools have more integrity than to break contract to play us. I have a friend from Portales on this board, Rammer79, I do not mean to offend. You've been gone from Portales for a long time. I consider you a fellow Artesian.

I agree Portales should honor their contract, but I can see why they don't want to play us here too, we almost 50pt ruled them before halftime this past season. Portales should have known what they were getting into though, they have played Goddard the last several years with similar results, but to back out on us now is pretty chicken, maybe we get compensated back for it somehow by getting some of the gate money back? I don't know how that works or we just let them off the hook completely.

Like the bigdog sez, even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while. Go dogs beat Lovington and knockout the squirrels in the home game.

I want to simplify the board somehow since their is just so many topics and just not enough content on some of them even when the sport is in season. Starting Phase 1 I'll probably keep the old football board around but I'm probably going to hide it from everyone except myself, just for nostalgic reasons. All other forums I plan to delete totally, and relaunch a few of them that get traffic or posts
