Yeah big win for Carlsbad.
A Cleveland vs Carlsbad showdown in 5A would make for a good story.
I'd give Cleveland the edge though, I think they are the best in state this year.

How 'bout them Aggies! ;D
I was listening on the radio and watching on firstrowsports. I was going to post earlier so others could enjoy but I was afraid I would jinx them. Aggies led from start to finish.
Aggies 28, Gophers 21
Of course bad news always seems to rear it's ugly head. Excitement and elation is sobered by reality. The Minnesota coach collapsed on the sidelines with about 30 secs to go in the 4th quarter with the Gophers on the Aggie 25 with a 4th and 10 and chance to tie the game. Seemed to be having a seizure but they were able to stabilize him and took him off by ambulance.
Please pray for him and his family.

Is that a final on the La Cueva/Clovis game? Just watched an instant clasic featuring Michigan/Notre Dame. Anybody else see it?

Hope the Gopher's coach is OK. This has happen'd a couple of times before. He has a history of seizures on the sidelines.

Clovis Radio KCLV was showing LaCueva 14, Clovis 0 as the final score earlier in the day.
I hope the Aggie's score was more than a fluke. Might be more like a “perfect storm” where everything just seemed to come together for us and fall apart for them. After playing USC so close last week, I’m pretty sure they never gave us a second thought. To tell the truth, I would have been thrilled to just cover the spread. The best thing about the game was that we seemed to play the entire game and not just a quarter or two. Even that is an improvement for us. Maybe the win will give the guys a little confidence and the incentive to win a couple of more games this year. I imagine Coach Walker enjoyed beating the school he used to play for. So far I have really liked Walker and I hope he gets at least one more year to try and get the program heading in the right direction. The last time we beat a “good team” was in 1999 when we beat Arizona State under Coach Samuel (another coach I really liked). Coincidentally that year, along with 2002, were our last winning seasons. You know when you’re at the bottom of the barrel there’s no where to go but up. Anyway, I’ll take the W.
I’m glad Coach Kill is Okay. They said it was probably brought on by dehydration and I imagine the stress of losing to if not “the worst” at least "one of the worst 10" teams in the nation didn’t help. He certainly needs to make sure he stays hydrated during his games. I can’t imagine how much an episode like that would scare him and his loved ones. It would scare the heck out of me!
