I keep up with the draft sites but I really expect Landry to stay another year, if your considered a lock for top 5 I think you really gotta consider leaving but I believe the NFL is going to be there for him. A NFL career is no guarantee, I think the average for a player in the NFL is 3 or 4 years, for most it's short lived, Hank baskett had 4 years and looks like his NFL career is over, I thought he was a decent player too, then guys like Urlacher have made a career in the NFL, probably a Hall of Fame career. I would love to see him stay and take another shot at a title run or Heisman, and set those OU passing records higher.

WOW, that just totally blows me away that Ryan Broyles is ranked so low!!! Number 19 receiver in the nation? They have got to be kidding! Maybe the injury knocked his rating down, but that much? I would have guessed that he would have been in the top 3. Also, if you go to that site and select QBs you will see that they have Landry at #3, with only Luck and Griffin III ahead of him. Can't complain about that!

I thought that the "Analysis" and the "Overview" were pretty good...... www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/players/1630853/landry-jonesEspecially the analysis. It seems to be fair. I also read on one of the OU sites (don't remember which one) a couple of days ago that Landry is expected to make his decision public on Jan. 15th. That was not from a poster on a message board, but rather in a news story on the front page of one of the OU sites.

In one mock draft they predicting him going at #12 to Kansas City. After Luck, Barkley, and Griffin have been taken. walterfootball.com/draft2012.phpDefinitely been a shortage of QB's this year it seems with injuries, if he is projected to be a 1st rounder that is pretty good. My feelings are as of now he will return to OU. This guy updates his site every thursday, with Barkley going back to school he has Landry at #7 to the Washington Redskins, that would be tough on Artesia/Dallas fans. It was updated today! It still shows Landry to the Redskins, but NOW with the #6 pick instead of the #7. Guess Washington moved up? Not sure how all of that works. So it appears that the Iowa game didn't hurt his prospects, at least according to this guy. I know that some of the posters on some OU boards thought it might.

Since the regular season is over those that didn't make the playoffs their order of selection in the draft is set. So the Redskins would pick #6 now based off their regular season record

I still hope he is a Sooner one more time. I think he still can be the man, with a little more seasoning. His potential is w/o limit.

Great news! Means I won't be rushing out to buy Redskin's gear after all! That might have killed this Cowboy fan. Thanks Landry!

No he may still go on to be seminary student and become a pastor after next season. That would be nice.

No he may still go on to be seminary student and become a pastor after next season. That would be nice. He may very well go to seminary and become a pastor, but that will probably come after his NFL career is over unless he can get it done during the off season. His NFL stock would drop way too much if he sat out of football for a few years while attending seminary. And YES, he definitely wants to play in the NFL. See the highlighted part of the article below...... www.soonersports.com/sports/m-footbl/spec-rel/010512aaa.htmlLandry Jones to Return for Senior Season Junior quarterback already is the program's all-time leading passer. Landry Jones Landry Jones NORMAN, Okla. -- Landry Jones, the all-time leading passer in Oklahoma history, announced today that he will remain at OU and compete for the Sooners in his senior year. "I want to accomplish the goals that I set before I got here, and there is still a lot more to do," Jones said. "I want to make sure I've exhausted every effort in that area. And I want to be a senior. I enjoy being at OU and with my teammates and look forward to graduating with the guys that were in my class when I got here." The Artesia, N.M., native said the NFL was a strong lure. "That's the ultimate goal for anyone who plays football," Jones said. "I've thought about that since I was a little boy. It would be a great honor to play in the NFL and that goal will still be there when I finish at Oklahoma." With a relatively small senior class departing from the 2011 team, Jones likes the prospects for 2012. "We hope to have another opportunity to make a title run," he said. "Most of the offensive line returns and we have several receivers and backs return too. We've also got a lot of guys back on defense, so we're confident that we can be a strong team." OU Head Coach Bob Stoops was pleased with Jones' decision. "We know the positive influence Landry has on and off the field with our team," Stoops said. "We're excited that he's coming back to build on what has already been an outstanding career. We expect another great year from him, and like the fact that he's determined to be even better." Jones, a finalist for the 2011 Manning Award, is OU's all-time leading passer with 12,389 yards. He also tops the school's career list with 93 touchdown passes. In all, Jones holds 21 records at Oklahoma, and is among the NCAA's active career leaders in passing yards per game, passing yards, completions, touchdown passes and total yards. As of now, he has 40 games played with 37 starts. He has completed 1,021-of-1,628 passes (.627) with 41 interceptions against the 93 TDs. Jones' record as a starter is 30-8, including a 3-0 mark in bowls. He quarterbacked the 2010 team to the Big 12 Championship.

Having been an NFL QB will strengthen his ability to reach people with his Ministry. I would like to say to Kevin and Kelly Congrats on your son and both of you have to be proud of who he is and what he has accomplished. I think both of you deserve credit for being the kind of people you are and the examples you have set. Please tell James Guy Congrats also. Landry has great genes and Artesia should truly be proud.
