In one mock draft they predicting him going at #12 to Kansas City. After Luck, Barkley, and Griffin have been taken. walterfootball.com/draft2012.phpDefinitely been a shortage of QB's this year it seems with injuries, if he is projected to be a 1st rounder that is pretty good. My feelings are as of now he will return to OU.

I would love to see him come back-as long as he has a full set of receivers.

In these mock drafts I have seen K.C. and Miami mentioned numerous times where Landry is concerned. I really wouldn't be surprised to see him end up at either place. My worst nightmare would be to see him end up in St. Louis (and I have NOT seen that mentioned) as a backup to Sam Bradford...AGAIN! That's just a funny thought that crossed my mind, nothing more. But really, how ironic would that be?!?!? I could see, and understand, Landry going behind Luck and Barkley, but I see Griffin as possibly being a bust, or just a "flash in the pan". Griffin came on quickly, and those that come on quickly tend to fade quickly. As far as Landry going pro this year or returning to OU, I see both the pros and the cons. If he goes pro THIS year, I have heard a few people talking about how he could possibly be the 4th, or even the 5th, QB taken. Falling into the 2nd round or even lower. If he returns to OU and had a similar year to THIS year (Bell Dozer, will get into that in a second) then he could fall even farther. I really do believe that Blake Bell and the "Bell Dozer" have hurt Landry's draft status this year. It has seriously diminished Landry's TD output. Only 1 TD in the last 4 games! That is because every time OU gets inside the 5 yd line they stick Blake Bell in there for the SURE touchdown. Who knows how many TDs Landry would have scored if they had left him in there??? I don't have to tell you that my heart sank a little bit every time I saw Landry come out, and Bell come in, when they were up against the goal line. If that (The Bell Dozer) continues NEXT year, then Landry may be better off going to the NFL this year. Landry doing all of the work to get them into scoring position, and then Bell coming in when they are on the 2 yd line for the "cheap" touchdown (if that continues next year) would seriously cut down on Landry's TD output. This could possibly drop him even lower in the draft next year. But surely NFL scouts would see through all of that and recognize it for what it is, right??? I guess I don't have to tell you that Blake Bell is not one of my favorite OU Sooners right now. But I just think it is awesome that some are talking about Landry as a possible franchise QB in the NFL right now. I remember how stoked I was when Kole McKamey did as well at UNM as he did. This is WAAAY beyond that. I have often thought, and wondered, about how Landry will pan out in the NFL. I see Landry as being sort of an Eli Manning type. Somebody who will probably struggle a LOT early in his NFL career, and possibly for quite a few years. Then, just like Eli, cranks it up a notch after a few very difficult years and becomes a quality QB when he has more experience. Maybe even a Super Bowl victory or two. And how totally AWESOME would it be to see Landry and Sam Bradford face off in a Super Bowl some day? Sorry, just a random thought, lol.

I would love to see Landry one more year at OU but .....
Last time I checked the standings, Dallas was 8-6 and in 1st place in the NFC East! Is that not a winning team?
Dallas is Landry's favorite team and he is named after Tom Landry, do you not think he would love to play for the Cowboys?
It has been 22 years since Jerry bought the team and fired Tom Landry. I too, loved Tom Landry as you do, but it is time to build a bridge and get over it.
Before you "Go Postal" on me, remember it is the Holiday Season, I am just sharing my opinion. Happy Holidays!!!!

Like Mr. Pitch, I'd also like to see him back at OU for his last year. With healthy RB's and WR's and a more experienced OL, maybe they do run the tables at OU next year and he wins the Heisman and goes #1 overall. Whatever Landry decides I'm sure he will enjoy success.
That all said, I would love to see him with a blue star on the side of his helmet. I wonder if Roger the Dodger would give him permission to wear #12??

Things just got a little more interesting. Matt Barkley announced today that he will be returning to USC next year for his senior season.

Yes Jades 8-6 is winning, BUT they have 2 more games to go and even if they make playoffs, they will be done first round! Besides that I never said anything to you so I'm not going postal on you YET! Get over yourself! And yes, I know about Landry, I lived across street from Kevin and Kellie when Landry was born! Known both of them for a long time.

Things just got a little more interesting. Matt Barkley announced today that he will be returning to USC next year for his senior season. That certainly up's Landry's stock. It's almost a forgone conclusion that if he entered he would be a 1st rounder, which is exciting to me, but I think another year at college could help him progress more, either way he just has to do what's best for him. How Barkley's decision hurts Dolphinsespn.go.com/blog/afceast/post/_/id/36037/how-barkleys-decision-hurts-dolphinsUSC's Matt Barkley, arguably the second-best quarterback prospect behind Stanford's Andrew Luck, decided to return to college for his senior year on Thursday. That was bad news for the Miami Dolphins, who certainly would have been a top target for Barkley in next April's NFL draft. Miami's biggest priorities this offseason are finding a new coach and a long-term solution at quarterback. Barkley's return to school makes the latter search much more difficult. There were expected to be four first-round quarterbacks in college this season. Luck will be long gone with the No. 1 overall pick. With Barkley's exit, that leaves Baylor's Robert Griffin III and Oklahoma's Landry Jones.Miami currently holds the No. 8 overall pick and could lose out on Griffin -- who won this year's Heisman Trophy award. According to the latest mock draft by ESPN's Todd McShay, Griffin could go to the Washington Redskins at No. 7. I think the Cleveland Browns, who currently sit at No. 4, also are a possibility. With no Luck, Barkley or Griffin, that would leave Jones as the only first-round option for Miami. Jones has a great arm. But he lacks mobility and, in my opinion, has the biggest bust potential of the four quarterbacks. If Jones is the only quarterback choice in the first round, it will be interesting to see the Dolphins' draft strategy. Veteran quarterback Matt Moore has played solid this season and is 5-5 as a starter. Maybe Barkley's decision will force Miami to fill another need other than quarterback in the first round.

Dallas won't be a consistent winning team until Jerry gets his hands off the coaching. I really liked Jimmy Johnson. Jerry needs to sell the team and go back to the hills of Arkansas and regain his hillbilly career.

That would be AWESOME if Landry makes the Redskins! My favorite team! Be coached by one of the all time greats too imo Mike Shanahan, he's worked with some good qb's in his day, montana, young, elway, to name a few. If it happens.

That would be AWESOME if Landry makes the Redskins! My favorite team! I have been a Cowboy fan since about 1965. I had a family member that had connections in the organization back then, so that's how it all started for me. He lived in Dallas and he use to send me Cowboy stuff every year for my birthday and Christmas when I was little......autographed stuff! Also game programs. All from the 60s. Still got some of it, but not all of it. You know how kids are. Back then I was die-hard! Cried after the Ice Bowl. Cried after Super Bowl V when O'Brien kicked the winning field goal for the Colts. I was "die-hard" up until Jimmy Johnson left and all the crap that followed. Never adopted another team, just quit following the Cowboys as closely. Still root for the Cowboys but it doesn't bother me at all to get up in the middle of the 3rd quarter and go outside and mow the grass, whether they are winning or losing. I'll catch the final score later! I still consider myself a pretty good Cowboy fan though! Having said that...I have been a Bulldog fan since before I can even remember! My mom and dad, having graduated from here in the early 50s, were dragging me to varsity games on Friday nights at Morris Field. I have been told that my first Bulldog game I was about 4 months old. I have been a die-hard Bulldog fan since I became old enough to care until this very day. So yeah, even though I still consider myself a Cowboy fan I support former Bulldogs first and foremost. If Landry ends up being the QB for the Washington Redskins......then show me where I can buy Redskins caps and jackets, and maybe even a bumper sticker for my car!
