Cleveland High School coach Kirk Potter is retiring from football. He will remain at the school as teacher. Heath Ridenour will replace Potter.

That didn't last long. Wasn't last year his first year at Cleveland?

He's been there 2 or 3 years as long as Cleveland started playing football. I'm not sure how old Potter is but I think he is getting closer to retirement. Won't get much better going out on a perfect season. Heath is a good hire, just a matter of time before he became a head coach, former lovington wildcat and played at eastern.

He has been the head coack at CHS from 2009, going 5-5, 9-2 and 13-0 for an overall record of 27-7. They will be solid next year but not the favorite to win state like last year.
