Hey guys ... check this out. Landry Jones a Hometown Hero in ArtesiaThey called me last night and asked for a picture of him playing as a Bulldog. It is the 3rd picture in the 5 they have on their player. Turn on captions and they even gave me credit for the photo. LOL A couple of his facts (Population) are off, but it is still a good article.

Great article the reporter was here for the first game against Lovington.
Not to spoil this good piece but read a comment posted on there.
This is the TULSA World newspaper, not the Artesia Press. If Reporter Bailey wants to write a “hometown” football player story, it should be for a city in the Tulsa area. Another unfortunate topic is that Landry Jones has not generated an impressive win/loss record during his tenure.
Some of those redneck hillbillies over there are unbelievable, he only owns your passing records 3-0 in Bowl games, they will never be happy no matter what he does.

Good article and I read that same article too Randall. I have to agree with your comment also. They are just upset because the article wasnt on one of their hometown kids. Disgruntled lol

Last year, he got rid of the ball too fast and didn't do his check downs. This year, he hangs on to the ball too long. If he listened to the fans he'd be a statue. You're right, "those fans" will never be satisfied. I'm just glad Landry has thicker skin than me. Makes me wonder sometimes why anyone would want to be a sports star, celebrity, etc. ... other than the money, of course (LOL).

Good article - and keep in mind that those critics might be fans of other schools in the area who hate OU. When I lived in OKC in the mid-80's, a guy claiming to be a disgruntled OU fan on talk radio finally slipped up and admitted he was an OU fan. But he had that station's hosts thinking all of us OU alumni are insane.
