Why is the board so quiet? Any scouting report on Hobbs? Injury report? Trash talk? Game Commentary? Just wondering...

lol I thought we had a lot to say about the Carlsbad game, 2 full pages that's a lot usually for here.
I did hear today Hobbs QB is under 10 day concussion sit out, not 100% sure on that so consider it a rumor for now.
Heard on the Radio coming to work Hobbs Enrollement is the highest it's ever been, oil resurgence brought a lot of people in.
HOBBS, N.M. A school district in the heart of New Mexico's booming oil and gas region has hit record enrollment. And administrators are wondering if the district will need more schools.
The Hobbs News-Sun reports the total enrollment at Hobbs Municipal Schools has hit 10,343 students — the first time in district's history that it has started the school year above 10,000 students.
Hobbs Superintendent T.J. Parks says of the 19 school campuses within Hobbs schools, 11 were at capacity.
Officials say the district also is facing a teacher shortage

I remember years ago when the oil boom was going strong and there was talk about whether a second high school would ever be built in Hobbs. Some folks said that would never happen because there was no way they'd ever let the basketball talent be split up between two high schools.
The Clovis coach is named Cal Fullerton? I won't even guess what his middle name is . . .

I have known several administrative personnel in Hobbs over the years (including now)..... they say Hobbs will NEVER go to a second high school

Never say Never. But a second high school is probably not likely to happen anytime soon. Hobbs will be a tough matchup for the Dog’s this week. If we play to our potential we should prevail. Saw the Clovis - Hobbs game on video and I thought Clovis was a better team. Hobbs is capable of beating anyone on a given Friday night. The Dog’s need to hit on all cylinders to win tonight. Defense, Special Teams and the Offense all had first game looks on last Friday night. I am confident that we will have it together by game time today. Go Dogs! Beat the Eagles...

Well we should have won that game and be 1-1 today, but it didn't happen.
short and simple we blew it, what cost us the game is fixable though, it wasn't one person or side of the ball fault, we slipped on all 3 phases that let the Eagles come back and take it.
Belen is next at home, them and us were considered the top of the classification coming in to begin the year, need to pull it all together next week, we were cruising 37-14 on the road against a big 6A school, dang, tough to lose that but not time to pull the plug, just fix the mistakes in my mind, we can do it.

Tough to pinpoint what's been off about this team because at times it's multiple things to include coaching situations.
Doesn't seem to be much player leadership and an overall lack of aggressiveness.
Bottom line the current makeup of our offense doesn't scare anyone and is above average at best. 14 is good and would do just fine anywhere else, but we need great with an intimidating presence. I also like 24 at the RB position because he's their best runner and he's the most intimidating presence with the ball in his hands.
Defense seems to be working it out and I think 42 is slowly adjusting to the MLB position. Once he's fully snapped in he's the best defensive player on the field.
Still hopeful for a great playoff run because nothing matters outside of #31.

I can't believe that some are worried about the season. Our only potential loss left on the schedule is Cleveland. We will smash Belen. Los Luna's is not that great. Goddard is the only other team in 5a besides us that has a chance at the title. All other in 5a are not that good. Belen is tough but they haven't played nearly the competition we have. Los Luna's is tough but they haven't played nearly the competition we have. They beat Alamogordo last night but that isn't saying much.
Defense is tough, for the first half. Offense is really good, for the first half.
We could easily be 2-0 but we cannot compete in the 2nd half. Fans need to look at that and ask why we collapes I'm the 2nd half. I think it's obvious.

IMO Artesia, became sluggish in the second half in both games. There was some mental mistakes I saw. Hopefully, they will prepare by turning the notch up. I know Belen will be counting on their workhorse, Casillas, defense has to be very good in that game
