We should win by default just for the sake a school system would spell their mascot's name wrong.

I know Las Cruces is 5A and that Artesia is playing up a class. What is the approx. difference between a 4A and 5A in enrollment in NM? I know it varies state to state. In PA, they run A to 4A based on male enrollment with 4A being >500 and 3A being 299 to 500. FL runs 1A to 8A based on total enrollment.
Testament to the Artesia program that they can move up and be very competitive.

According to New Mexico Activities Association:
Grades 8 - 11 are used for adjustment purposes for enrollment.
5a: 1651 and up
4a: 901 to 1650
3a: 401 to 900
2a: 171 to 400
1a: 0 to 170
8 man: 0 to 125
6 man: 0 to 75
Total is 121 schools for football purposes. The school can petition the activities association to play up a classification, but not down a classification.

We lost by 3 last year, it was a very good game, we almost pulled it off.
I think Artesia is a stronger team this year, how do the dawgs stack up compared to last year's team? you out there DeltaBulldawg

Im a LC DAWG so Im going to say Las Cruces 42 Artesia 35. Another great game. Las Cruces is a bit mad and salty since that Rio Rancho loss. Theyre huge and I expect them to run the ball behind that big offensive line. It should be an electrifying night in the Bulldog bowl. It may come down to whom has the ball at the end but I think the Las Cruces is going to have to run the ball and play keep away from that Artesia offense.

Thanks LCDAWG, looking at the roster there is some good size on that team, several players 270lbs and up. I think it will come down to who can get a stop or turnover on defense, it very well could be who has the ball at the end of the game too, I think it will be a shootout.

I heard Las Cruces is pretty big football team. I think Artesia can beat them if they play some good defense like they did against Carlsbad and protect Trevor. I'm pulling for my bulldogs.

Hey Randall, I've been out of the loop with work and all I can say is I expect another close game between the two. LC recorded 9-sacks against La Cueva last week and they will need to put pressure on your QB to pull out a win...if not it could be a long night for us...to close to call right now...anyway Good Luck and lets both stay injury free.

It's always an awesome environment to go to Artesia and play! You guys have a great football town and I was even fortunate enough to have been under the guidance of your great coaching staff several moons ago during the North South game. This WILL be another fun game to watch. I was wondering if there will be any online streaming for this game. If so, please let me know where I could find it. Thank you and go DAWGS (I know, I know, the spelling...)

Not the game I expected tonight, bulldogs go down 54-27 and get their first loss of the season and are now 5-1. They will need to regroup quick as they go on the road to Clovis next week.
