Rafael Orozco had a lot of playing time on the D-Line this year. Also I think Lopez plays slot, along with Conn. However Egeland is as big as Byers- so you are correct on the WR size. I figure Axel Hartley will play MLB…. He did well playing with the 2’s in 2023. O-Line has to be the big question mark. They lost everyone except Big Dev. I did hear Caleb Martin competed for playing time in the pre-season last year, so he may be ready in 2024. Facing a D-Line like Roswell, who returns EVERYONE in the D front - will be a true test. Offense will look different. I’m sure a lot of running. Cazares is a great athlete and will be dangerous. Can’t imagine that he’ll throw it like Estrada did, but also probably won’t see 8 dropping into coverage much either like we saw this year. I hear they have some solid DB’s waiting in the wings….. but losing those 4 seniors will take some work to replace. Harcrow and McNeil I’m sure will be 2 of the 4 starters in the backend.

Never to early.
Brody Mcdonald probably figures to be in the secondary somewhere, corner or safety. I noticed Charlie Campbell listed as secondary, if you been watching basketball he's a good athlete with good size.
I didn't watch any JV games, but saw some of these kids make a play or two in the playoffs. I believe Egeland had a Touchdown catch in the playoffs. I remember Axel Hartley laid the wood on the Los Alamos or PV QB forget which game it was. Byers had some action as well, I think he was out there a lot on 2pt conversions, if memory serves me right I think he had a spectacular catch on one of those.
For those that watched JV did Izac play some at Qb in those games? I kind of doubt it since he played varsity. We got 2 Soph Qb's Cael Houghtaling and Derrick Warren or did they rotate in Jv games?

I DO REMEMBER NOW HEARING RAFAEL OROZCO NAME BEING CALLED OUT AT TIMES, LOPEZ DID PLAY SLOT THAT WAS MY BAD ON LISTING HIM AS WIDEOUT. EGELAND HAS REALLY GOOD SIZE OVER 6'3 WR GREAT PIECE TO HAVE OPPOSITE OF BYERS WHOS AROUND 6'3 THATS GOING TO BE FUN TO SEE. ADD AXEL HARTLEY IN AS MLB WITH ADYEN AND GRANT ON THE OUTSIDE LB'S. BIG DEV THE ONLY RETURNING STARTER ON THE LINE IS GOING TO BE HUGE ON GETTING THE RIGHT BOYS IN THERE TO HOLD UP THAT LINE LIKE THEY DID LAST YEAR. ITS HARD FOR ME TO EVALUATE THE JV HAVENT BEEN TO A GAME IN A LONG TIME BUT I HAVE HEARD GREAT THINGS ABOUT THEM AND THE SOPH BUNCH TO. CALEB MARTIN WHAT POSITION DO YOU THINK HE WILL BE PLAYING ON THE LINE? BUT YOUR RIGHT DOGWARDEN ROSWELL RETURNING THE WHOLE DLINE THAT WAS HUGE FOR THEM (YOU WIN IN THE TRENCHES) SO HOPEFULLY WE FIND SOME TOUGH YOUNG MEN TO HOLD THEIR OWN. IVE NOTICE CHARLIE CAMPBELL ON THE BASKETBALL COURT DUDE CAN BALL HES VERY AGGRESIVE EVEN MORE ON DEFENSE OF SIDE SO HIM BEING A CORNERBACK THATS WHAT YOU WANT AND HES AROUND 6'2 GOOD SIZE CORNER IF HE CAN MOVE THEM HIPS AND RUN BUT LOOKS LIKE HE CAN DEFINTELY DO THAT WATCHING HIM PLAY BASKETBALL. SO HAVING HARCROW, MCNEIL, MCDONALD GIVES US SOME NAMES IN THE BACKEND OF THE SECONDARY BUT AGAIN MAYBE TO EARLY TO TELL AND ME NOT WATCHING MUCH JV WHO KNOWS BUT IM EXCITED TO SEE THE 2024 SQUAD AND GET THAT 3 PEAT

I heard he was doing well in August, but got a wrist injury that sidelined him for two weeks in the midst of the competition. By the time he came back the others had seized the moment.

I asked my son Josiah Rodriguez about next years defense, he said the best cover corners that can hot are Adell Villa and Cresensio the kid with the pony tail, they both played in the games when we were far ahead last year. He said as of now the bigger Soto twin is being moved to LB and the smaller Soto to safety. He said they plan on using Hardcrow or Soto to fill his position as the hybrid LB/Safety like Josiah played the past 2 years. Brody McDonald (my niece’s son) will be competing with Hardcrow, Soto or anyoone else that proves they can cover. Not all kids have the speed, agility and intelligence to start in the secondary, but the ones that prove themselves worthy in the 7 on 7s will be in line to start(could even be a sopor junior. Guess we’ll find out in 7 months💪🏽🏈

He also said Grant was being moved to D line to pmay in trenches with Granthem, Micah Aguirre is being moved to O line Aguirre Tootie McNeil will be good at LB, defensive end not sure what position he played last year but hei’s a good one. That is what the talk is amongst the friends so of course its not set in stone so it may be different come August

NOONDOG22--- DIDNT SEE MUCH OF VILLA BUT HE WAS ONLY A SOPH LAST YEAR SO THATS PROBABLY WHY CRESENSIO PLAYED SO WR/SLOT IN BLOWOUTS LAST YEAR I DO REMEMBER HIM. I CAN DEFINITELY SEE MARCO SOTO TAKING OVER THAT ROLL JOSIAH PLAYED LAST YEAR THE KID ISNT SCARED TO HIT AT ALL NOR IS HIS BROTHER I LIKED THEM ON SPECIAL TEAMS RUNNING DOWN THE FIELD TO HIT THE BALL CARRIER. I ALSO CAN SEE BRODY AND HARCROW IN THE BACKEND SMART KIDS.MOVING GRANT TO PAIR UP WITH GRANTHAM ON THE DLINE IS NICE, THINK THEM BOTH BEING D-ENDS WOULD WREK HAVOC, JUST DONT KNOW IF WE HAVE BIG BODIES IN THE MIDDLE TO DO THAT. AS FOR CHARLIE HES VERY AGRESSIVE ON THE DEFENSE OF SIDE ON THE COURT IF HE CAN PLAY THAT AGRESSIVE AND TACKLE THEN I WOULD KEEP HIM AT CB.

That makes alot more sense as he will be playing at the next level like his older brother at the LB position.

They never have as far back as I can remember, is 7 on 7 the end all be all? no I don't think so but I think it can be a valuable experience. I mean even Mayfield and Carlsbad compete in them, teams known for just running the ball. Looking forward to see what 2024 brings, some new names out there competing.

I have a feeling the new Goddard might change the Rockets approach on attending the 7 on 7s. I look forward to it as well Agent O, we have alot of talent and a great coaching staff. Just hope the coaches under Maupin stick around a few more years.

Franky dislocated his kneecap, his dad and mom took him to see a doctor in Lubbock (Texas Tech), the kneecap was put back in place. It’s just a matter of healing he’ll be ready for baseball.

He came down after jumping for a rebound in basketball and came down landing on a player’s foot . Somehow that caused the kneecap to relocate. He told me that it’s fine, back to normal is how he and big Franky (dad) put it. He is going to have a monster year in football , just need a relatively good or great offensive lline.
