St Michael's/Lovington game will be a good one. I think Lovington is going to pull it off.

St Mikes starts 18 underclassmen and are undefeated and only giving up 5.7 pts per game. I have a strong favoritism in this game as my future Son In Law is the Defensive Coordinator.

I'm suprised Lovington made it back to State, I figured Silver was the team to beat this year in 3A. I'm sure the weather was horrible in Lovington today like it was in Artesia, such a low scoring game. It would be hard to pick against Lovington given their tradition.

I still wonder about this "owing" games. Cleveland goes undefeated and has to travel to LC dispite the better regular season? The other way wouldnt be fair if Mafield was higher seeded. Kind of puts a damper on the regular season results. Hop0efully some of you agree with me.

Mayfield had to travel to Cleveland last year for a playoff game Mike, so Cleveland must return the favor this year, I think that's fair enough. That's the way it's always been in New Mexico, the other alternative some would like to see is all state title games played in Albq, which no one down south agrees with. It may change one day but I like the current system.

(Obviously this doesn't apply to Cleveland this year) You are going to get Jades all fired up again!

Nope I dont agree. Why should we have to make it convient for them? They can do just like every other team does and owe whoever and go play on the road. Thats what makes a team if they can win on the road. SORRY its been like that forever. Take it as it is

No its not a Cleveland or RR thing, I just think it diminishes the regular season. Pick your team say Artesia has a 9-1 schedule and are seeded #1 and St Pius gets a #10 seed with a 6-4 record. Pius gets hot in the playoffs and wins 3 games but they get to stay home while Artesia has to travel to Albuq because the last game in 2005 was in Artesia. And everybody knows how hard a schedule Artesia plays. Did the coaches actually vote on this system? If they agreed with it no problem but if I was a head coach no way I would vote for that system even though it would possibly hurt my team.
